Carrying Brhamos was never a Requirement
The Search was for Medium Multi-Role aircraft, This by definition implies the existence of a Heavy class , which is filled by the SU-30MKI , which can carry the Brahmos.

No one can lift Bhramos, but Rafale can carry Scalp which have almost the range of Bhramos, It use Stealth deign where Bhramos use speed..
Scalp = 250km
Bhramos = 300km



It's already a given , when you buy the aircraft , you buy the weapons that go with it. Weapon integration our your own weapons comes latter. if at all.

Of course the US has weapons that can stop Brahmos, and its also for export. So do not underestimate the US ability.

In any case, India should be more friendly with the US instead of relying on Russia for weaponry. How India is not closer to US shows the inability of the Indian politician to make decisive choices.

The AEGIS and the RIM-162 ESSM could stop it but India will only care if her neighbors have it and both of them don't and will never get it as a export.
