Dhoni even at this age is fitter than most cricketers. As far as he getting special treatment is concerned, you should remember he is Dhoni and not just any other cricketer, if he needed the comfort of an airconditioned room, he would have not joined the paras for patrolling in Kashmir. Our media is way hawkish and liberal too make fun of Dhoni if he relaxes on duty, even Dhoni knows that.
Anyway the fact that he chose to serve his Nation like this is a matter of respect. I am sure none of your cricketer would even think of leaving their luxurious life even for a day.
