Yes and No..
There are many die hard MQM supporters who vote for the party regardless as MQM has helped the community where its voters were.
And yes there are many cases of the 90 blue shirts "assisting" people with voting choices

Very wrong perception
MQM has a significant vote bank in Karachi and ppl willingly Vote for them

Lower Class Urdu Speaking population are all out MQM Supporters
Middle Class is 50/50 Half of them Vote for MQM and the other Half doesnt Vote at all
Elite Class has very little support for MQM until only recently when they developed Storm Drains around DHA
(It was a problem for decades that during monsoon rains whole DHA would submerge in water)

Ummat Publication is as biased as it gets seeing as it is run by Jamat e Islami who will even write against Imran Khan if they have to

There has never really been an alternative i myself am a former MQM voter turned PTI
in 2008 Elections these were the options

PPP
ANP
MQM ------> in 4 Years Mustafa Kamal changed the entire City of Karachi and that won a lot of support for MQM

Today there is alternative in the form of PTI they will cut a lot of MQM Votes
Also those who dont vote for anyone might come out to Vote for PTI

What i have observed in my family alone (All of us Urdu Speaking) the adults will strictly vote for MQM while all the youngsters are going to Vote for PTI

MQM realizes that and if they just stop their "Budmashi" then their Vote bank will not go anywhere

& if mustafa kamal making roads is achievement! then PML N made karachi airport!!! i think now all of karachi should be subjected to PML N for that! just like making roads means everyone should forever be indebted to MQM!

I have friends of Karachi.

PPL did not voted MQM before but i was told they do now because of different etnic groups. As my friends said we dont have a choice in other words urdu speaking voted MQM , Patans for ANP etc etc. I have a friend who is Hazara and same with them. Now they have choice to end this and make life better by voting Imran Khan.

Well, a guard who was standing at a poll station of NA-250 in 2008 (or some thing, its pretty old story so i could be wrong on number), said till 3 PM only 19 votes were costs, then MQM boys came in and started to vote and in the end results was 27k votes for MQM 13k votes for PPP and vis versa..

Im not denying rigging but how does a guard know that 19 Votes were cast for MQM ?

Shows what you know... You beloved nawaz or ANP people are living in mansions bigger than monarchs of GB or SA, MQM workers live a far far more modest life if you know them as well as karachiites
Alsothough the low level unit incharges are corrupt but at the top level MQM is the only trustworthy party after PTI
