I have the feeling looking at the turnouts since July this year the vast majority of Karachiites seem to be in a disengaged and not at all interested mode .PTI will have to work really hard to become the true alternate party of Karachi.

He and Karachi MNA, s for the first time have strong backing of the federal government its pti vs rest on 18th amendment but reaction of kpk pto is so far mixed on one hand they love provincial autonomy provided in 18th amendment on the other hand they also know that Sindh and central punjab are the next frontiers

Generally, nobody is interested in by-polls and turnouts remains very low. Yes, PTI have to work hard not just in Karachi but overall otherwise in next election it will disappear from political scene.
