LONDON: The MNA’s and Senators of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have condemned and brushed aside as ‘pack of lies’ the findings in connection with MQM contained in Amnesty International’s recent report.
“The report has leveled baseless, false and fabricated allegations against MQM,” said MQM members of Parliament in a statement issued here Wednesday.
They said that the Amnesty International’s report had tried to bring a bad name to MQM, which, according to them, is a representative party of millions of people. “The report has hurt the sentiments of millions of MQM supporters.”
The MQM MPs further said that for unknown reasons the Amnesty International had issued similar reports in the past too that were based on ‘unfounded and false propaganda’.
