well this is the logic MQM gives for keeping arms! that jamaat had arms in 70s! and hence MQM bought arms in 80s! and then the world saw those weapons on display on 12th MAY 2007!

Pakhtuns dont carry guns with them when they go outside their home towns to earn. You wont see pakhtun labourer, driver or tandoorwala with gun in northern areas, kashmir, punjab, gulf countries and in baloch-dominated areas. If in karachi they are keeping guns then it means they were forced to do so for security reasons, some people were targeting them and they dont liked to be killed like sheeps and you must have heard about our "badal".

O Bhai, there must be a limit to lies and deceit, Karachi has attracted more of the criminal elements of Pashtun then any other area of Pakistan. I mean look at all the terrorists of the country, they are almost all from the Pashtun tribes, why is terrorism the main trade of Pashtun? And do the pashtun carry out terrorism, throughout the country and outside it too, without weapons??? Where are all the illegal weapons made??? Who is responsible and involved in all the drug trade and smuggling??? Do they do all that without weapons??? Is all that terrorism and weapons use for ...... humanitarian missions???

Everyone must have heard of Pashtun "badal", (badla I take it?), well for a great many years pashtun had a great ride on the non-violent, laid back and hard working Mohajir in Karachi......well until early 1980's atleast and then Mohajirs had enough of the looting/plundering/harassment etc. MQM has almost always responded to actions of these fitnas and not initiated anything. I mean, its these pashtun that are coming to Karachi in hoardes and for illegal activities, they mostly even live in illegally occupied kachi abadis in Karachi, and not us Mohajirs going to the pashtun areas!!!!

And MQM advertising itself as middle class party is not impressive. It is a mohajir party and there are no feudals among urban folk like them so they would naturally speak against feudals. Moreover they criticize wadairas because of their anti-sindhi sentiments.
Check out JUI-F members, they are not even from middle class but from poor background. Another great example is jumat e islami. With far more better organization, merit system and members with middle class background who make progress from student life as IJT members.

Yeah, the IJT members are shining examples of humans, as if most of us have not been to school and colleges in Karachi. We, the real Karachiites, are well aware of ground realities of everyone and yet we continue to support MQM over others, that is proof enough of what MQM is and what propaganda is!

MQM is not in a position to post a CM in Sindh. It's like IK claiming that he will whitewash the elections, BB and AZ claiming that PPP will form the government in the centre and in all the provinces too, NS making similar claims etc. Big talk from all political parties.

PPP,ANP and MQM have been tried and tested time to give another team a chance! this team must retire and Pakistan should move on!

similarly the "HAZARA province movement" is from within the NWFP! clearly the hazara division is a major part of NWFP.

then in punjab you have seraykis and bhawalpuris and chachachis and pashtuns in attock. and go to lahore and see almost all tandoor walas are pathans! so what is your point???

Then came in the pashtun from the northern areas who began to populate land illegally. After that came political reasons to bring in Sindhis from interior Sindh into Karachi to break the vote bank of Jamaat and finally Afghan refugees escaped their restricted living areas to occupy land illegally in Karachi. MQM came way after them all but yes there are individuals in MQM who are involved in land grabbing. However, MQM is a very small part of this massive tyranny that plagues Karachi and people from outside Karachi are responsible from then anybody else. Lately Mr. Tappi's name has surfaced as the most influential person behind some of the most high profile lang grabbing cases in Karachi.

I believe settling in Karachi from different parts of Pakistan for the want of earning livelihood is a different proposition than land grabbing. Since this city was the only port city and offered more opportunities thats why people all over Pakistan came here and even those who migrated and were settled in different parts of country also moved here. There is absolutely nothing wrong about it, all Pakistanis have right to settle and live within country wherever they feel like. The problem occurred when the gangs, groups and political parties started patronising the land grabbers. During last two floods there was a deliberate politically motivated effort made to change demography of this city. Lets not look at the things with spectacles of our choice. Identifying problem is first step and then political resolve.
