MQM will give surprise in Multan

MULTAN - Member MQM Rabita Committee Raza Haroon has said that some hidden powers want to get their wanted result from upcoming election and the recent wave of terrorism in Sindh, Balochistan and KPK is meant to achieve this goal.
Talking to the journalists here at Multan Press Club on Thursday, he said that conspiracies were being hatched to deprive MQM of its mandate. He claimed that three political parties - MQM, ANP and PPPP were hurled threats as soon as election campaign started while three others PML-N, JUI-F and PTI were given free hand to run their campaigns. “It means some powers want their desired results,” he added.
He said that the electioneering continued in just Punjab while it stopped in rest of the three provinces because of terrorism. He said that the order regarding changes in constituencies and new delimitations after the announcement of polls was illegal as this should have been done before the announcement. He demanded the Chief Justice of Pakistan, caretaker government and Chief Election Commissioner to take notice of law and order situation and adopt immediate steps to improve security in the country.
He categorically declared that his party would participate in elections. He said that MQM, ANP and PPPP were barred from running election campaign in Karachi and the MQM had shut all of its election offices in Sindh on the direction of Altaf Hussain. He said that the MQM’s election offices were functional in Punjab, claiming that his party would give a surprise in Multan. He said that the MQM workers were being killed to prevent them from running election campaign and the party was being pushed to boycott the election. He alleged that some parties were being backed by the terrorists. “Although majority of political and religious parties condemn terrorism, there are some who are backed by the terrorists. They still collect funds,” he maintained. Answering a question on former president Musharraf, he said that he was an ex president and army chief and whatever was done outside the court during the hearing of his case could not be neglected. He said that Musharraf’s case was in court and the court would decide it.
