KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Monday termed recent allegations against his party a nefarious plan, warning that attempts to remove him as MQM chief would result in "war in every nook and corner".

In a telephonic address from London to party loyalists in Karachi, Altaf categorically denied all allegations that MQM has connections with the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and the party received funding from Indian authorities, as claimed by a a startling report published by the BBC.

"I swear by God...there is no connection with RAW," he said.

Altaf also asked party workers to "prepare themselves for sit-ins". He said if Imran Khan could organise a sit-in for three months then "we will organise sit-ins for six months".

Altaf said the MQM has had no association with RAW and party workers were "ready to sacrifice their lives in the fight against RAW", if time calls for it.

The MQM supremo linked accusations of receiving Indian funding and affiliation with RAW to the "minus Altaf formula" saying there will be bloodshed on streets if he were removed by any means.

"Claims of [MQM] receiving Indian funding are baseless and lies," he said.

Altaf also expressed disapproval of the Rangers in Karachi, saying Director General (DG) Major General Bilal Akbar should have taken "honest decisions".

Altaf said he did not preach acts such as extortion and forceful collection offitra and hides of sacrificial animals.

He further said allegations of creating 'Jinnahpur' were leveled against him in the past when attempts to murder him failed.

Altaf also asked for the abolition of quota system in Sindh in favour of merit.

He voiced his support for the fight against terrorism in the country.

"Even if my own brother is involved in terrorism, he should be apprehended and presented in court," the MQM chief said.

So essentially he's staying in power with the threat of violence. The only formula that can work for MQM is the 'minus criminals and terrorists' one. Altaf Hussain is one of them. It's about time the educated members of MQM take over their party from these criminals.

A man threatening violence and chaos because of threats to his control of the MQM does not care for anyone except himself (Zardari falls in the same category with his recent rants) and is a traitor to his country. In trying to deny allegations of Indian support to spread terror in Pakistan, he ended up directly threatening Pakistan with terrorism.

The streets of Karachi have been drenched in blood and crime during Altaf Bhenss Hussains control of MQM, so things can only get better if the Bhenss is put out to pasture.
