KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London on Saturday denied the impression of two MQMs working in the country by saying that there is only on MQM which is working under Altaf Hussain, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi Press Club, leader of the newly-elected London Rabita Committee Prof Hassan Zafar Arif said there was no London or Pakistan faction of MQM. MQM is only one party whose leader is Altaf Hussain, he said.

While reading from the press release, he said any conspiracy to finish MQM or divide it into parts would not yield success.

He alleged that MQM Pakistan leader Amir Khan deceived the Muhajir movement once again. While, he said, other MQM leaders like Farooq Sattar and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui were scared.

Zafar Arif demanded from the government to stop operation and arrests of MQM workers and open former MQM headquarters, Nine Zero, and all the other offices that have been sealed.

The quick formation of MQM Pakistan and denouncing the AH was actually a strategy by Farooq Sattar and Co in those times to avoid any ban and let the heat be minimized. It is true that Farooq Sattar and Co cannot run alone nor the GUYS can be handled by them where Bhai himself is active. Interestingly, how quick people forget the speech on 22th August, 2016 against Pakistan and are still expecting MQM (in whole) as their representative. The drama is still on and both these will be diverting the attention of the people that many with confused minds wouldn't even ask for justice against treason of this party. A simple denounce and then continuing with the same seats granted by AH is not fair and those seats belongs to MQM London and these guys need to resign and contest from the MQM Pakistan platform.

Accountability is needed without any difference whether it is PSP, MQM Pakistan or MQM London that needs no more evidence, as well as PPPP after Uzair Baloch and Dr. Asim etc including ANP and any other anti-state actors.

Ironically, none asked any question including all the political parties that some are supporting AH and few Farooq Sattar but the one who losses is actually Awam.

The party should be banned outright.

If the members want to form new parties then so be it, but their organization and foreign funding would be destroyed in the process.

There are some who vote MQM just because of the brand recognition, so it banning them might end their hold in Karachi, and prevent any other derived groups taking over too.
