Again, Jinnah was born in Karachi and Gujarat is stone throw away from Sindh. We all came from somewhere but what matters is our allegiance. No one is targeting any specific group or muhajirs. There are mujahris all over Pakistan including in my family, and they are wellcome. That's what Pakistan was created for. We even welcomed millions of Afghans ungratefuls to our land and feed them. But when they indulge in criminal activities, they gotta go. Similarly, Our beef is only with terror elements of MQM. Nothing personal, it's all about Pakistan.
Where would they go? How do we differentiate between allegiance and not? If allegiance means having your city left to rot, tolerating unfair quota systems and discrimination.. would anybody accept that?
Forget Afghans, we dont even tolerate displaced people within our own lands..
The MQM are thugs, but those thugs are riding a cause that is just.
It was never personal, it was always about Pakistan.. it original leadership being thrown out by the political sharks and feudal.. and whatever it stood for being usurped by these banner waving "sons of the soil".. who most of the time persecute their own people, use slave labour and keep their own people backward. Yet, their usage of terms like "Jaag Punjab Jaag" or "Sindh Khappay" is ok while some "immigrant" who was born in Pakistan and his parents were born in Pakistan cannot rally around the same cause. Or if the Baloch(who we've left for dead most of this country's existence unless we needed to drill the area for gas) ask for rights it is terrorism but heaven forbid if anyone who asks why the millions spent on pointless festivals in Sindh and Punjab could be used to give them roads or electricity. Maybe we should blame their leadership but then again their leadership thrives because we let it. They thrive because their people have nothing else from the state as proof that Pakistan actually gives a crap about them and the only one speaking for them is their sardar.. or some fat man in London.
There is a reason why the MQM thrived, its because while they are "sons of bitches".. they are our "sons of bitches". Its the first thing one sees in Pakistan that regardless of the "hum zinda qaum" hain speeches. We are essentially people divided amongst ourselves ..ready to pounce and kill each other at the slightest excuse.
The MQM is filth and was filth, but the reasons the APMSO came out is the same reason the Baloch stands up, and today a Tribal guy stands up and joins the TTP. If that hasnt set into the minds of the general population of Pakistan, then India has it much easier than it thinks when it comes to demolishing Pakistan inside and out.
