KARACHI: The Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) on Sunday night announced their decision to separate from the Sindh government.

MQM's Rabita Committee held a press conference at their party headquarters at Nine-Zero in response to statements made against MQM leader Altaf Hussain.

MQM leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, criticised the PPP and accused them of indulging in the politics of hatred and ethnicity.

"Mohajir Quami Movement became Muttahida Quami Movement after a brutal operation was conducted against us,” said Siddiqui.

“We have shown great patience on our part,” he said.

“Again and again language has been used against our leader which we would not tolerate... we have only shown patience at the insistence of Altaf Hussain,” Siddiqui said.

“Every MQM worker is furious over the remarks made by Bilawal during his speech...There will be no compromise on our leader Altaf Hussain,” the MQM leader said

“Khursheed Shah made remarks against Mohajir people which were intolerable,” he said during the press conference.

A timely and a wise decision. MQM may have realized that both PML N and PPP are already doomed. Yestarday's failed jalsa of PPP have further strengthen this that PPP will have no place in future elections.

This MQM is one of the big Baighairat Party, they don't have any beliefs, values and standard, wait for few days and the same MQM will be watchman of PPP government and democracy.

just heard something about sindh assembly and baldiati bill. hopefully because of this we might have local govt polls in sindh. i hate the mqm and dont agree with their ideology so much but they're literally the only ones who do anything at all for karachi (besides bahria town xP)
