I had hoped that a rifle would be produced that would signify Turkishness, the descendants of great empires. This rifle is but a copy, no originality at all.

US > M-16
Israel > Tavor
Britain > SA80
Germany > G36
Russia > AK
China > Type 95

Turkiye? That AR clone. This is what the International community will think, doesn't matter if it is a great rifle, it is a clone.

It is just an attachment which can easily be taken off.

I hope they cloned the HK-417 and not the M4. We will have to wait to see the internals. Hopefully we see a video of them field stripping the rifle so that we can see how indigenous the design is. But i agree with you that the design should have been unique.

It doesn't matter about the internals, no one sees the internals sub-Soldiers and those who handle it.

It is the external appearance which matters to the average person.

Hell, if you were in the US. You could go out and purchase the correct parts to make yourself an MPT-76.

Anyway, there is no point in raving on. What is done is done, lets hope this rifle won't disappoint all that use it.
