Mozambique Is emerging as the next Islamic extremist hotspot

Yes brother, but he is right. Africans did not embrace Christianity of their own accord, it was imposed on them by Europeans, similar to the imposition of Christianity in Latin and South America.

The problem with this is people will say Islam was enforced on them by Arabs as well. It's not sound logic and I don't see justification or need for his post.

Arabs spread Islam to all people whom they had trade relations with. Africans largely embraced Islam due to those cultural and historical links.

Yeah, I see that, but even African Christians will talk about the imposition of Christianity, and more importantly British, French, Dutch, German languages on them.

I actually had a long chat with a friend from Cameroon about that very subject, and despite being Christian, he was quite open about his disdain for European imperialism. As you may know they are suffering some problems due to French and English speakers vying for power and influence.

With all due respect , I understand Africa has lots of potential to develop and achieve independence economically but that is not what the brother was getting to.

Christianity is a ME religion and Christian's are inseperable from our people in the ME. Such comments should not be made by us, period. It's disrespectful and serves no purpose.

Yes, I agree with that too.

@Agha Sher

I expected better of you, what kind of ridiculous comment is this? Why are you guys so against fixing our own selves? What other people have to do with that?

Delete your post brother, just because you deal with racism or whatever is in your life where you live does not justify your comment. African Christians are some of nicest people you will meet.

Brother, I think you misunderstood me. What is wrong with showing them the light of Islam and freeing them from a tool of oppression? (which the European use to exert influence on them). There is no compulsion in Islam.

If you follow the work of certain Dawah organisations, entire villages in Africa convert to Islam when they show them the truth. The Africans know that Christianity was enforced upon them and used to exploit them. They do not believe wholeheartedly in the confusion of Christianity. When they see the light, they accept the truth. Islam is spreading fast in sub-Saharan Africa.

That being said, the Christians of Ethiopia are an exception. Christianity wasn't forced upon them. They are the real Christians. They er tolerant, open and respectful (ever since the time of the prophet).

That being said, I agree. We need to improve ourself first. The Muslims of today are far from what has been taught to us.
