What's new

Most unfotunate day of Pakistan : Pak 6th grader sets himself afire

Its first the most suicidal strike on our future. Just imagine for minute a 12 year old kid frustration .....

RIP to the little boy !!
Really sorry to hear this.... We are lucky we grew up with grand parents & people who were more family oriented ......now a days due to globalisation/ industrialisation/ nuclear family concepts these lil kids are subjected to emotional traumas which are really too much for their age !! its not him to be blamed ..

God Bless peace to deceased's family

This is what happens when a child is let free. Although the father might be having hardships and tough goings, he could have done more.

This child is like many other. Instead of going to school, they go off to billiard clubs, sheesha clubs, Internet Cafes and then have a 5000 rupee phone while their father earns 3000.

But how did he set himself on fire is beyond me.

There is no character building in our education system, all the emphasis is on cramming text books and that's all. The focus should be on making strong and better human beings rather than selfish professionals.

Indian Entertainment isn't any better :woot:
Kids shouldn't be watching anything other than cartoons anyway...some "modernised" world we're living in...

Many Indian kids dies due to 'shaktiman', an Indian superhero series, by jumping from buildings, trying to tie a rope around their neck etc.

But this one is more due to kid being emotional and put under unnecessary stress, it happens in India too, especially during 10th grade exam.

"Today he asked me to accompany him to the school as the headmaster told him not to come to school without his father," Ahmed said.

He added that he had refused to go to the school with his son because he had faced embarrassment in the past when the headmaster complained about Khalid's lack of interest in studies.

Its the father's fault. Too many Pakistani parents expect too much from their children.

I would not blame cable TV but the parents who let childern watch highly emotional dramas..... Kids should stick to cartoons and channels like Nick.... They are kids they don't know whats good or bad for them... its the adults who are responsible for them ..... every singly tiny detail count in upbringing of a child.

When the news channel broadcast footage of political workers set controlled fires to their clothes, then walk off to get their 'Ehtajaj' recorded, then obviously stupid kids will also think they can set fire to themselves, get their message across and live on as if nothing ever happened.
