Mosque is not a religious place, can be demolished any time: BJP leader Subramanian Swamy

New BJP curriculum is in process of being updated. Check back with Mr Swamy.
:disagree:
Applicable to state boards only, not to NCERT and nor to university syllabus. :agree:

Bas karnaaa yaar,

swami has 2 interests....

1) Making stupid and controversial statements
2) looking for scams by congress

.
Mosque is a community center for Muslims to offer Namaaz,Masjid literally means a place to prostrate.

Is no big deal to demolish it,not all masjids are the same as Masjid al Haram or the Kaaba.

.
My highway engineering book says that temples/mosques/churches, for that matter trees which 're older than 50 years should be avoided while the constructing a highway. I'm assuming the same applies to other developmental projects too. :undecided:

Your point?
If Hinduism is a set of religious beliefs and Islam is another set of religious beliefs and Hindus are people who believe in the former while Muslims are those who believe in the latter - Indian Muslims are Muslims and Indian Hindus are Hindus - saying otherwise is nonsense.
All Indians are Hindus.

I do not agree with Swamy ji on this one (whether it is a holy place or a community hall, it belongs to them and we have no business demolishing them without reason).

The operative words being "without reason"

Any place of worship of an alien faith built upon a Dharmic place of worship or abode of a deity, historically, should be brought down, the land cleansed and sanctified per Dharmic rituals, and duly returned to the guardians of the native indigenous faith.

What was done by force will be reversed by due process.

If due process fails, it will be reversed by force.

But reversed it will be.

Ignore the idiot

Different concepts at work. Islam does not consider any place, idol, structure as holy. Mosques are built not because Allah lives there but so that a brotherhood can be observed, a place where all Islamic brothers gather together and pray.

Hindu temples on the other hand are called devasthanam or devalaya. Meaning abode of God. The statue is consecrated and a pranaprathistha puja is done to capture to element of Godhood in the statue and hence forever it becomes a place of God.
This is the logic that he actually wanted to articulate....
But no need to rake up such issues ....
