Moscow Sees No Reason for India to Worry About Russia-Pakistan Joint Drills

Moscow thinks that India should not be concerned about upcoming Russian-Pakistani joint military exercises, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s director of the Second Asian Department said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Moscow sees no reason for India to be concerned about upcoming Russian-Pakistani joint military exercises, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s director of the Second Asian Department said Friday.

The Druzhba-2016 ("Friendship-2016") tactical drills will be held on September 24-October 7 in the Army High Altitude School in northern Pakistan’s Rattu and at a special forces training center in Cherat. The exercises aim to strengthen and develop cooperation between the countries’ armed forces

"We were informed by the Russian Defense Ministry that these exercises will not be carried out in [disputed] areas, and a place was chosen that has nothing to do with this. Hence there is no reason for India to worry about it," Zamir Kabulov told RIA Novosti.

Kabulov said Moscow had informed New Delhi of the regions where the exercises with Pakistan were planned to take place.

I don't think Russia is leaning towards Pakistan.They don't want to lose their multi billion dollar defense partner & a strategic ally.We should take that as a normal drill only like we have with Chinese..

Well, anyway....I think Pakistan and Russia are coming close and some are feeling heat....Pakistan is interested in Russian stuff and Russians are not just teasing Indians, they will sell SU-35 to Pakistan....Just look at the attitude of Russians towards Indians....

Russians are straight away saying Indians need to mind their own business....You'll never expect China to talk like this with Pakistan...Chinese are definitely bringing Pakistan and Russia closer....

Russians are also exercising where Indians don't want them to do - Rattu, a area within GB, which is disputed territory as per Indians....This clearly tells Indians are lost in Russia...
Pakistan has neutralized India in Russia with help of China...

It's time we show our cards to American lobbies that Pakistan isn't isolated even Indian FO tried there best to obstacle Pakistan from international powers but Pakistan has cards to play
Like Russians coming in Pakistan for joint exercises is good achievement and inking couple of more defence deals will concrete the russ-pak relations to other level that USA India will try to consider coalition rather waging proxy wars inside Pakistan

Question is how could Russia forget india is bringing USA to south Asia other then Russia himself
If Indians had same package with Russians it could have win win situation for India but with America it will not
