Moscow is becoming a Muslim majority city due to low Slavic birth rate and high Muslim birth rate and immigration from Tatarstan

. .
It's kind of provocative to say that Moscow is becoming a Muslim majority city. According to the upper estimate there are 2.5 million Muslims in Moscow, which could be anywhere up to 20% of the population. Most of them are immigrants from former Soviet states--Central Asia and Caucuses, regions that are predominantly Muslim. The Islamic population of Moscow now numbers over thirty nationalities, with particular inflows from Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

There are both good and bad things about it. Muslims have become very important as workers, especially in the construction industry and Moscow needs them. On the other hand there is some racial tension. There are only four mosques in the city.

Islam in Moscow (Wikipedia)

According to the 2010 Russian census, Moscow has less than 300,000 permanent residents of Muslim background, while some estimates suggest that Moscow has around 1 million Muslim residents and up to 1.5 million more Muslim migrant workers. The city has permitted the existence of four mosques. The mayor of Moscow claims that four mosques are sufficient for the population. The city's economy "could not manage without them," he said. There are currently four mosques in Moscow, and 8,000 in the whole of Russia. Muslim migrants from Central Asia have had an impact on the culture with Samsa becoming one of the most popular take away foods in the city.

The largest mosque, Moscow Cathedral Mosque, was inaugurated in 2016.

I've heard that in the past, but it is not correct. Officially the correct number is in the region of 10%.
Yes, that's correct. The Russian Muslim population at about 14-15 million is about 10% of Russia population, so that's percentage is reflected in the Russian army as well.

Maybe that 35-40% was about Chechnya and Muslim dominated regions, where the numbers are higher for Muslim population.

Quote:

Within Russia there remain nine Muslim republics: Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Adygeya, Chechnya, Ingushetia, Northern Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachayevo-Cherkessia, with a population of more than 20 million Muslims.

Misleading title.

10% of Russia population is Muslim.

They are neither increasing or decreasing.

Similar percentage of Muslims reside in capital Moscow.

Some pray more, some less. Some don't at all.

But during Eid, most of them pray.

But since there are not alot of mosque to handle all the Muslims in one place, Muslims pray on roads even in Islamic countries.

And this is where pics/vids like these come from.

Some do scare mongering that Muslims are taking over.

Some brag about Muslims taking over.

Both of the above groups mislead people.

Where's your data on your claim?

As it is, I've reported the thread for misleading clickbait.

Undoubtably, Islam and Orthodox Christianity will form an alliance. Orthodox Christians will be closest in love and affection to the Muslims in the end times. It's there in the Quran.

Jews are good people too. I'm not talking about the Zionists.
