Sir, with due regards can you tell me how exactly is Russia supposed to 'control' its terrorists from globe trotting for arms and training? Do you think that if these elments were controllable, that they would be allowed to conduct terrorism in the Russian territory?

I am sure that these terrorists have more to do with Caucasus than with Pakistan. However, if the news is true then it is very disappointing and a blow to the fight against terrorism.

Russia would never blame he average Pakistani citizen but your government who is supposed to keep a check of matters that happen within your borders. It is a difficult time for your country but this news would only bear more negative publicity for Pakistan. Very unfortunate.

That is exactly my point. If Russians cant control their own terrorists how do you expect Pakistan to control Russian terrorists? These elements are not controllable so this media blame game is pointless for the purpose of stopping terrorism. The only way these terrorists could have made their way from Russia to Iran and Pakistan is either illegally through half a dozen other countries, including an American occupied one, or if they were granted valid travel documents by Russia. How do you gather that Pakistani government could have stopped any of that?

So what is the motive when only Pakistan hits the headlines?

So if tomorrow the Baloch Separatists start this suicide bombing business all over Pakistan, would Pakistan look for the actual reason and address their grievance? Or you just believe in preaching other countries?
Yes why not?Address the actual reason and address their grievance of the people so that they dont ve reason to blow themselves up.

People will always find a reason to perpetuate violence no matter what one does.

Policies are not made according to whims of a few madmen.

The collective degradation of the minds of a few is not reason enough to derelict reason fr madness.

"Nonetheless, both the Taliban and al Qaeda remain unpopular among Pakistanis – 65% give the Taliban an unfavorable rating and 53% feel this way about al Qaeda."

Do you think that the link was credible enough to support your opinion?
The link clearly states that Pakistanis feel threatened by those groups.

Okay! Let's put your data interpretation skills to test.

Based on the given report, give me a number, in percentage, of people adhering to extremist or fundamentalist views.

Let's see how good you are at making a judgement from a given report.

No, they are controllable factors.

Chechnya problem got support from the U.S. during the height of Cold War. Hence, a generation of lunatic individuals was bread by the same western powers. The same western power hired individuals to fight for them in Afghanistan by using money, weapons and religion; hence, another generation of militants were bread by the western powers.
Israel occupied Palestine--hence, another generation was bread because of the consequences. After 9/11, the U.S. had NO CLEAR strategy to eliminate the guys they created. Islam was blamed earlier, the sympathizers started to help lunatics. Western media created PROBLEMS FOR US. Iraq war, WMDs, another excuse to increase militancy among already hostile people.

In conclusion, the western powers played a very important role and after 2001, their policy makers and media ruined our region.
I know that Americans have a penchant for getting smaller countries into a lot of trouble and they have a rather disturbing history of doing so. But my case is specific to the current bomb attack in Moscow. As you say, during the Cold War, some American elements possibly were behind assisting Chechn separatists using religion; but now the issue has grown so much that the militants have grown too strong and have become independent while what they were supposedly fighting for i.e. separatism in Russia has now become a serious obsession with them.

At this point, there is no point of hurling abuses against United States as this cannot undo what has been created. A comrehensive action plan has to be taken. And ever since I took an interest in your region, I have been now and then hearing news of a couple of terrorist incidents related to Russia having traced onto your lawless borders with the Afghans.

This if at all true, without being defensive must be thoroughly investigated.

Putin vows not to hold talks with terrorists

Russia will not hold any talks with terrorists, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday in the wake of a deadly terrorist attack in Moscow's Domodedovo International Airport.

"It is necessary to fight mercilessly with terrorism and extremism," Putin said. "All civilized societies unite against threats and rebukes bandits and extremists. I am sure the same will be in Russia."

Putin said attempts to hold peaceful talks with terrorists in early 90s led to the first and the second Chechen Wars.

However, he said the Russian government had never dismissed talks with the political figures, who strive for settlement.

Monday's blast at the airport arrivals zone Moscow's biggest airport claimed the lives of 35 people and left over a hundred injured. No group has yet taken responsibility for the attack, which comes less than 12 months after two female suicide bombers from the volatile North Caucasus struck the Moscow metro, killing dozens.

The premier said that preliminary information showed the Domodedovo blast was not linked to Russia's North Caucasus republic of Chechnya.

This is not a healthy mindset. Saying you will deal with countries that have legitimate concerns about the terrorism in Pakistan(if it is traced to Pakistan). Or pushing things like these aside. What if a bombing happens in the U.S. and it is traced back to Pakistan. Especially one where people were killed. It would force the U.S. to take action and things in turn would end up worse for Pakistan. You do know the U.S. revised strike plans on targets in Pakistan after the time square ordeal happened right ? This is no joke.

Some basic facts have to be cleared. As of now, the news says that some individuals were trained in Iran and Pakistan. That does not follow that GoP is involved. So nobody must assume that. It is that individuals were trained by individuals/organisations in a particular country. Now it is no secret that there are some individuals/organisations trying to push an extremely fundamentalist agenda and will not hesitate to use terror or any other means to do so.
One fall-out of such incidents is the profiling of groups of people/communities/ nationalities in the aftermath of such incidents. That is not the desired solution.
Another matter is that the extremists are far too set in their philosophies and mind-sets. Some people here suggest that they can be convinced to abandon their ways. Not likely to happen. The hard-core element has to be eliminated; with extreme prejudice. Simply wiped out. The less hard-core will then see that it is a "zero-sum" game.

yes.if a state dont want to live with in the union better it has to be set free according to the peoples wishes.
