More than a million Chinese chase 19,000 government jobs

@Nan Yang:

The system certainly looks better in every way when you compare it with the Indian ones. But how much it is susceptible to corruption? Is there any vigilance system in work to watch out for nepotism?

National examination is the first step in the selection process. The qualified individuals from national examination will then be interviewed by representatives from the prospective posts.

In case of selecting Officials we do have a very much similar system.

If you meet anyone in China's central government, you can rest assured you are speaking to a person who is not only exceptionally well educated and knowledgeable on a broad range of national issues but is in the top 1% of a pool of 1.5 billion people.

LOL. If you meet anyone in the India's central goverment, you can also be rest assured you are speaking to a person who is not only exceptionally well educated and knowledgeable on a broad range of national issues. There are a total of 1000 people selected from a pool of 1.2 billion people. Now calculate the percentage of that.

India has a similar civil service pattern as china

And in terms of performance, Indian civil service has no similarity with Chinese's. :woot:

Ok,fair enough. If you are talking about the Liaoning ACC in SCS,to be honest even I could not help trolling after seeing the photo shopped picture :P.Anyways no issues then.

It's not just this post, why not follow him for a month and see for yourself. Anything good and positive on China triggers his trollitis.

Jealousy for what!!

Chinese are funny. How many of those 10 lakh people fit into elite category, not more than 20 to 30 thousands.

Exactly, where are you jealous? Learn how to deal with your complex.
The content of the article is not about ratio and India.

Far from it, that was just a two liners. Why are you fretting over it? Seek treatment early.

Good that you mentioned rules, read the content before you post, don't go out of point.

The level of a country's corruption is more to do with its level of development.
Corruption is cause by Government inefficiency, Low paying official and Lack of transparency.

As a country develops, it is natural that the Government will become more efficient, its officials more professional and more transparent.

I don't see why everybody is attacking China in these boards.

Maybe Indians among others should man up a bit.
