Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry denied a report by Pakistan that 50 Afghan forces were killed in a skirmish last week, a spokesman said Sunday.
The border fight erupted in the past few days in Kandahar province and ended with both sides announcing a cease-fire, Najib Danish, a spokesman to the Interior Ministry, said by phone. Pakistan’s army had said it destroyed at least five Afghan checkpoints, the Associated Press reported Sunday.

Danish said fighting killed two Afghan border policemen and wounded 11 others. One civilian died and 30 other civilians were hurt in the rocket attacks from Pakistani forces, the spokesman said.
Pakistani Army Major General Nadeem Ahmad told reporters Sunday at the Chaman border crossing that about 50 security forces died, while two of his soldiers were killed and another nine were wounded, according to the AP.

They also said Mizar-e-Shareef resulted in "around a hundred casualties". As if they couldn't count after 60 so they were at a loss to give an accurate figure.

Look boys, Pakistani soldiers left their uniforms with APCs and both were captured by the Afghan border police:

Sorry for the foul language

They knocked out an APC and recovered a single jacket. What's the point?
If the raid was such a resounding success, why did thy not consolidate their position but rather went for a unilateral ceasefire declaration?

I feel ashamed as a nuclear power our COAS still says these *** holes enemies of my land are so dear to COAS as any pakistani after seeing this I don't think bajwa has any right to wear this uniform and duty given to him by our great nation brave nation if we still behave like minows Infront of these coackroaches yes we are bound too see this pakistan should give a small war to Afghanistan clear the ashraf ghani and abdullah once it for all

If we still behave weak which we are and I have no hope with bajwa as a chief we should act like nuclear power tactical missile should be fired upon Afghanis tan or PAF raid on their army posts

Because Pakistani Gen is a sane person who knows very well that Afghan has nothing to loose but Pakistani forces would consume by engaging good for nothing militia like ANA.

And then there was a overstating of facts: https://www.dawn.com/news/1331818

Like I said before, these are the same guys who capped the Mizar-e-Shareef casualty at "around a hundred", not even bothering with a complete count.

That being said, it was stupid of the FC to make such a bold claim without putting any evidence on the table. Such a bold declaration has to be backed up with evidence. However, even though I take the FC's figure with a pinch of salt, I hope you would extend me the courtesy of taking the Afghan claim with a fist full too. For if they had lost only two people, they wouldn't have declared a unilateral ceasefire in the middle of the hostilities.

I guess all of us humans were just born into a number. For someone out there we are a number to satisfy ego. We cry for our dead and dance on the death of others. What a fucked up way of looking at life.

Afghanistan's top envoy to Pakistan Omar Zakhilwal on Monday rubbished claims that Pakistani security forces killed 50 Afghan soldiers in retaliation to the Chaman cross-border attack, saying that only two Afghan soldiers were slain and seven others injured.

"Woke up to celebratory front page headlines today on all Pakistani papers saying Pakistan killed 50 Afghani soldiers and injured 100 in Chaman clash," Zakhilwal tweeted.

On Sunday, Inspector General (IG) Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan Maj Gen Nadeem Anjum claimed that 50 Afghan security personnel were killed and another 100 injured as Pakistani forces retaliated to unprovoked firing by Afghan border forces on security personnel in Balochistan's Chaman area last week.

The FC Balochistan chief said four or five check posts were also destroyed when Pakistani border guards retaliated to the cross-border attack, adding that Afghanistan pleaded for ceasefire on May 5, which Pakistan accepted.

On Friday, Pakistan closed the border after attacks by Afghan forces on census staff and security personnel escorting them left 12 people dead and 40 others injured.

The Afghan envoy slammed the reports, saying, "The Chaman clash left casualties, deaths and injured on Pakistan side too but we, instead of celebrating, called it unfortunate and regrettable."

Zakhilwal asserted that the loss of even two lives "are too many if our claim for seeking good neighbourly relations is genuine and if we mean well for each other."

It should be noted that in Sunday's briefing, the IG FC had stated: "We are not happy over their losses since they are our Muslim brothers."

IGFC figure is correct, it was a close quarters battle in our area and we could count the number of dead bodies they left behind.

I am not contesting his narrative, I am merely stating that he should have offered evidence to back up his claim. The world works on tangible proof. Our stance is weak as long as we don't have something to exhibit in support of it.

Maybe our media outlets should learn from you, your media never publishes the Pakistani version of events on Kashmir. We are far too accommodating to these Afghan stooges, who literally have only 50% of their country in their control. These are people who claimed "about a hundred people" were killed in Mazar-e-Sharif, when the real figures were upwards of 250.

I think it was more than 2, and less than 50. What the exact number is, it's somewhere in between, take your pick.

its not possible that only two ANA soldiers are killed, they wont have called for a ceasfire, the reality is they have been forced to retreat hence heavy casualties.

Better yet why did we accepted a ceasefire unilateral or not, we should had continue pounding these assholes till the time they start running to their daddies crying and asking to stop Pakistan from killing them mercilessly. The fact that we too accepted ceasefire does not fit well with the narrative of 50 being killed.
