A study by UC Berkley shows that murder rate in muslim countries is upto three times less than in non-muslim countries.
The study went so far as to exclude the south american countries with abnormally high murder rates (Columbia, Venezuela, etc), the murder rate in muslim countries was still much lower.

Large number of Muslim countries are in chaotic regions like middle east & Africa where civil wars , terrorist insurgencies , full scale wars , separatists movements etc. are going on were many people won't even bother to report killings/murders.

2.4 per lakh ..That means for a country like pakistan only 4000 murder case is avg ..whats definition of murder here ?

If you see stats of 2012 there are 14000 murder cases in pakistan and 44000 in India ..Though pakistan does not count for all of muslim countries if information is true then pakistan is contributing almost 45% of total murders in muslim countries !!! I know that cant be true

Oil rich Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are very peaceful. But do Yemen, Pakistan, Chad, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Somalia and other countries have low murder rates? I'm not sure where they got the data on that.

This would count as selective reporting on one dubious parameter - a few arab monarchies have low rate of crime, which isn't true for the second group of countries you mentioned add to that the Muslim countries of Africa. Most do no have a decent law and order apparatus, kangaroo courts and religious courts, bad policing and bad reporting of crime...dubious data.

Why even such a study be done? Its bcs the media hype and propaganda against muslims & islam that has gone into ludicrous level.

Muslim countries still have the moral and family oriented healthy society that the rest of the materialistic hedonistic world has given up on. And this is when Islam is not implemented in the state. KSA for eg. have the least rate of crimes in the world and that is primarily bcs sharia law is implemented there to a huge degree.

So whatever crimes happening in muslim countries r NOT in any way due to islam (if that is what islamopbhobic bigots want to allude to) , but rather it has more to do with the retrograde secular/liberal political system imposed on them by colonialist western barbarians.

In tunisia a secular western backed dictatorial despost overthrown in a relatively less bloody revolution.
