What's new

More and More Pakistani Products and Brands are becoming available in International Markets

So I have started seeing a lot of Pakistani products and brands on the shelves of larger shopping centers as well as the smaller grocery shops. And not just available but occupying favorable positions as compared to the indian alternatives and even being promoted as bundles and discounts in places like Carrefoure.

The pictures below are just one example from a small super market. I'll try capturing more on my next encounters.

While people are busy spreading all their negativity for showing allegiance to their corrupt overlords. Some one some where is really doing something right...

May I ask about the NATCO brand in second picture?
Who owns it and when was it found ?

How is this a doing of non-corrupt govt...use some sense man
Shan and other Pakistan spices and Pickles have been available in Pakistani as well as Indian grocery stores in Canada for more than 10 years, and even in the large grocery store including Wall mart.

Oh bhai mujhsey ghalti hogayi Shan ki picture bhi le li saath.
I had a few pictures and some did not come out the way I wanted. Even in the shan picture I was trying to highlight Mehran and another which I have never seen before.

we should improve transparency and quality,I remember a servant in house of our relatives told them that he used to mix one bag of small stones in 4 bags of rice to keep weight of rice bags high for traders in faislabad who do the business of rice,if such rice is exported to foreign countries it will bring bad repute to our country because of corrupt businessmen

I don't know if there has been an increment in their supply but Pakistani masalas have been around for a very long time in Europe & the Middle East. They still sell like hot cakes as they always did. Additionally, I don't see this as a sign of improvement in our economy. Our major exports were textiles, which are badly impacted right now. It was common to find Pakistan made clothing and beddings from major international brands. Now mostly you see is Bangladesh, China, India, and Vietnam.

I can attest to this too. Shan Masalas can be found in the UK too!

Though, here, mostly just the Pakistani community purchases them.

I have seen it all Mehran, Mitchells, National, Haleeb, Shan, all kind of Achars and even Rooh Afza and Qurshi is avialable at Walmart Canada and other major Grocery stores. It was available in NS Govt and it was Available in Zardari govt. Just refrain from making silly comments that it is PTI who is sending truck load of Spices all over the world.

you will be surprised to learn that around 70% of these Pakistani brands are bought only by Pakistanis living in the foreign country. It reminds them of their homeland. Same is for India. I'm pretty sure you would also find a sections where Indian spices are also placed.

Not only spices, but other stuff like hair oils, biscuits, chocolates and snacks from India and Pakistan are always in ample supply in countries where there is large number of Pakistanis and Indians because they are more likely to buy them as compared to other brands.

Even in Key foods I see shan, laziza, three rivers products. I fail to see any new stuff.

One easiest thing that Pakistan can manufacture and export is cooking wares, like pan (tawa) for roti, non stick pans, non stick cooking bowls, belan (for roti), etc. A huge demand with especially south Asian community.

Bulbs, cell batteries are another easy to manufacture product that we can export.
