Moody’s casts uncertainty over loan: Pakistan’s government liquidity and external vulnerability risks are elevated

As for as I know Pakistan’s immediate problems are food, fuel, medicine & electricity and which India can provide just like we are providing to Sri Lanka and money which is responsibility of policy makers and public can’t be made suffer for policy makers foolishness.
You sir are greatly underestimating the problem. Pakistan is more than 10 times as large as Sri Lanka. More importantly, its problems are 100 times larger. There is a severe lack of polity. Every political subgroup wants to destroy every other subgroup. It is not just a question of money. Though lots of it are needed anyway. For a very, very long time. It is not like taking care of an orphaned child, think of running a maximum-security prison.

Yes, 100% true.

But still someone has to start from somewhere to solve problem some extent before everything gets out of hand, isn't it ?

If there has to be any hope, it has to come from within Pakistan. No outsider can guide, help or influence such a large and complex nation. A possible ray of hope is, when default occurs and the nation goes through a period of hyperinflation and severe economic depression, all the political parties will realize that their infighting is meaningless.

IMF isn't reforms agency they just ask you to balance books
Like if u earn 100 spend 100

It's up to u how u earn money.
Govt opted to tax poor via sales tax instead of taxing people who keep leopards in Islamabad

Sorry to break it to you.

But that already happened and people let those men back.

In 1999 the country bankruptes the economy crashed and took years to recover and ruppe crashed

How did you people responded?

They voted those people back.

You will see them voted bank soon it will be maryum or bilawal this time
Most people don't vote in Pakistan. The so called 'elections' are always engineered to bring about a certain result.

You think an average person will vote for a woman to be the Prime Minister?

Like it or not, Pakistan is a very conservative society especially in rural areas. Even in the urban areas only the elites are somewhat liberals, but even they will arrange marriage ceremonies for their drunkard children on religious terms.

Regardless, there is a big storm brewing, when it comes, it will take everything with it.

Either way, all in all, it will be all good!

The reforms will cost Pakistani awam an arm and leg.
Despite all the issues and problems, the extreme level of misery an average Indian faces on a daily basis does not occur in Pakistan. No one can dare rape a woman on a bus in Pakistan, the awam will skin him alive!

Same old excuse..
40% of Pakistan lives in urban areas..

The tone of urban areas let vaderas decide which side they will take..

People know well who they voted for

PMLN won 92/99 central Punjab seats in 2013 mostly urban areas

thats BS - our elections can be "swayed" but at the end of the day as zia said 40% of pakistan is urban area where you cant really rob elections on a mass scale

largely what we vote is what we get - what the establishment controls is our options, swaying power, sometimes threats and fears but by and large elections are still representative of our thinking as a people

Nonsense! Everybody knows how the elections are "handled". There are printing presses that run all night during elections.

Only foolish people believe that the ruling elites in Pakistan will let a day labourer decide the election outcomes!

The fact that IK was handed results such that his parliament was hanging by a thread despite a massive turn out should be proof enough.

At the end of the day IK was a disappointment too.

There is no hope for Pakistan except a big inferno!

Yes with the state machinery putting in overtime to ensure that certain results occur!

You have 15 to 20 families running everything behind the scenes with a large majority of your high bureaucracy with, dual citizenships, or at least with their children settled abroad. The Pakistani state has now effectively become a milling machine that is feeding them a steady supply of capital. Most of your generals are sold out and will sell their souls for a few million bucks, or for study visas for their kids.

You cannot have 100s of billions of $$ stolen without permission and active participation by those repsonsible for guarding and protecting your resources.
