Sorry this free will doesn't work in Islam. If you are a Muslim and you are claiming to be a Muslim than you have to follow Islamic rules and Muslims on General are required to stop evil and spread Halal. So Indian Muslims did the right thing by asking Shami to stop doing haram and they should continue to do so. ALLAH and his RASOOL SAW have again and again told Muslims to stop Haram and spread Halal.

I'm sorry that Allah and Rasool SAW didn't told you to respect others freedom until and unless you are effected by it. I'm sorry that they couldn't give you a brain that has something called logic.

I apologize if I hurt your feelings. There is a reason why I said it. Liberals are often criticized for being biased and in some cases rightly so. True progressives should speak out against ills of all religions. That is the point I was making. Also please don't equate sanghis with Hindus. FYI sanghis are not representatives of Hinduism. If you are trying to say above statements, i think i agree with you. In a sense you are right. If Mr Shami knows fully well that Islam has some restriction which can not allow such kind of life style, then either he should change his religion or follow the code of conduct what Islam subscribes to. You can not be a hypocrite by saying you want to be a devout Muslim in one way but in other way, you do not subscribe to the life style.

There is a lot about Hinduism that was not liked or not in tune with the evolution of times that has been changed by Hindus over time.

Would you say the same thing to those Hindus who strove to reform their faith? Leave Hinduism and choose a different path.
