KARACHI: Left-arm Pakistani pacer Muhammad Aamir who is counting his days to make a comeback in international cricket in three months time after being banned for spot-fixing said he was happy to inspire Bangladeshi hero against India Mustafizur Rahman.
Taking five wickets on his ODI debut, Mustafizur said “Mohammad Amir is my idol. I just follow his bowling. His spot-fixing allegations do not make any difference to me.”
In a reply, Mohammad Aamir said that he felt very happy when he heard that someone wanted to be a bowler like him. He added that I must say he is set for a great CAREER because he is not an easy bowler to deal with. He has all the guns and he appears to have good cricketing sense.

Left armer Mustafizur Rahman similar to Aamir, destroyed strong Indian batting line-up in the first two matches of three-ODI series, taking a total of 11 wickets. Five in his debut and six in the second ODI. He has become the first bowler to kick out eleven wickets in his first two ODIs.
In a statement Mustafizur Rahman said, “I wanted to perform well on my debut. I know only a few have taken five on debut, but all I wanted was to do well against India.”
Mushrafe Mortaza ( Bangladeshi captain ) also appreciated the left-arm 19-year-old pacer. He also added that Mustafizur was not a surprise for them. They knew that he can destroy any batsman in the world
