In hindsight, you may sound wise. However April and May 2021 now confirmed that the 6 month lock down saved millions of life.

India is not the only country that did such extensive lockdown. Infact Modi showed that he preferred life of Indians over economic gains.

We locked down till we could and opened to ensure we also have earning opportunities. It fine balance.
