Modi sulking over Pakistan internationalizing Kashmir Dispute

Modi can do all the "tough talking he wants" - at the end of the day, no matter how you want to describe it, the Indian government will essentially be asking Pakistan to not internationalize the Kashmir Dispute, and for Pakistan to agree, India will have to request Pakistan for a restart to the bilateral dialog.

See, while Modi fanboys might think otherwise, in international diplomacy, a man 'puffing out his 56 inch chest and talking loudly to the premier of another country' is not going to change national policy. India will have to offer a qui pro quo (if it really wants Pakistan to stop internationalizing the Kashmir dispute) which means backing off Modi's policy of escalation with Pakistan.

i would be really surprised if modi asks for resumption of talks between india and pak

pakistan is begging all around the globe for meditation in kashmir.. no one is listening to you. a failed country like pakistan is a international migraine. your efforts have been failed, your best friend china don't even talk about kashmir. only one thing you can do is firing at LoC.
That is wonderful news! So perhaps now the Indian media and government can stop whining about "Pakistan's internationalization of the Kashmir dispute"?

Modi is bad at foriegn relations as is proven from the pak-russian alliance in making for Afghanistan with china as a addition.

Modi instead of solving will in turn create more trouble in Indian occupied kashmir because of extreme hatred toward him which will increase more after his party win in IOK through rigging

Our Election is not of like yours though it used in era before TN Sheshan n this man brought all teeths in conducting elections.....
I feel modi is trying to corner Pakistan in international arena n buying more time to consolidate India's position for any future( I believe there will be no serious talk for 1 ot 2 yrs from now) talks at India's terms.... N believe me modi is closely watching/assessing all your internal n external situation of Pakistan so best answer to modi nefarious plan is put your house in order....

This is a funny statement. It would be beyond the wildest possible dreams to expect Pakistan to stop trying to internationalize Kashmir issue. Regurgitating 65 year old Pakistani rant at forums like OIC and at times at UN is the least expensive of Pakistan's Kashmir policy. Even though it does not accomplish anything except making Pakistan look like a sulking baby, since the cost is so low, there is nothing much to lose really for Pakistan by carrying on with it. OTOH for India, given the failure rate (100%) of this Pakistani action, there is nothing much to gain if Pakistan stops this token action and hence does not make sense to offer any concessions against it..

So nothing more than some extra reading between the lines

Modi himself stopped the bilateral dialog - Pakistan escalated her efforts to internationalize the issue after Modi's cancellation, so in reality it is Modi and the Indian government that is being given an ultimatum - "if you want Pakistan to not internationalize the Kashmir Dispute, then the onus is on India to request Pakistan for a restart of the bilateral dialog cancelled by Modi".

You simply can not do that... Pakistan dnt have that much diplomatic power.
Pakistan is complaining about Kashmir here and there but no one is ready to listen (UN, USA) no one want bad relation with India.

I didn't quote the entire article - I quoted a specific excerpt I wanted to discuss, and the title of the thread is in support of the excerpt and my comments.

By the term sulking what is the actual interpretation or thought behind it?

  • That Modi has taken up this issue and spoken about it in various stages, press meets. to domestic crowd.
  • Or

    • That Modi has contacted /send his ministers or diplomats for explaining to all the places where Pakistan went with this Kashmir issue .

    • Or
    • India also started making other issues of Pakistan among the world countries and asks them also to interfere.

Nice to see some "creative writing talents" at work in our neighboring state that could come up with such nice title for this thread.
Though now the question is: why on earth is Modi smiling so much in all the visuals that we get to see on the media all over? when he should be sulking.......
Ah; "creative writing"......sorry! :D

Mr nawaz sharif has been performing in an admirable way for pakistan since day 1.Modi needs to learn a thing or two from him.
