Though I agree with you that the bottom limit should be 2.5L below which you do not pay tax. Unfortunately what we want and what is politically possible are 2 different things



Actually I support economic criteria for all reservations SC, ST, OBC, General. Apart from that reservation for persons with disabilities.

Also the reservation should be for only 2 generations. If your father and you got the reservation then your children should not get them. If in 2 generations (approx 40-50 years) you are not able to uplift the family then there is no hope.

However, I am also aware that in the current political climate that is not possible. I don't live in a utopian world.



Ofcourse I want India to go in a direction which I feel is the best. So do you and @jbgt90 and all others. That is why we have elections every 5 years to choose the govt which will do that to the best of its ability. You obviously dont agree with me. @jbgt90 is a congressman and his Ideas are different from mine but we debate and discuss. I may disagree with him but I have never gone to a fight with him.

I don't fall under 2.5 lac category... definitely am a tax payer... am not against poor... but those who earn 8l per annum have decent life style... it is pointless to add them to the poor quota... this 10% quota unlikely to help the poor... SC / ST got reservation due to untouchabilty, discrimination... etc... don't talk like they are eating your share....

LOL.... Sambandhan is a proud Kerala Nair tradition where the women gets to choose their mate and lives in absolute control of her life destiny and property.

All property in Kerala went to the women and all the earnings from their land went to them.

The Men got NOTHING and Nair men earned their keeps in society. No handouts for them.

I would be happy to teach anyone about Sambandham if anyone is truly interested. But you will be sorely disappointed to know the REALITY which is vastly different from propaganda

Well our womans took it up to next level , they did that in effective way to control entire Kerala history .

I read about it on Wiki. Which says that these were contract marriages between wars. Mainly for procreation. And continuation of lineage.

And that regardless of whether the man dies or comes back from war, the contract can be annulled at any time and a new contract entered into.

Depends upon the character of the husband .They dont like to be force ruled by men.
They were confident and trained .
But in majority case only one husband they had and most probably her ex will marry a new girl.

In Kerala that is only in our community but If I am not wrong the Bunt community in Manglore ,Karanataka or Tulu region follow almost similar tradition .
There is some study that they are our distant relatives ,I dont know about it.

Yes , our surname would be from our mother lineage .

Now we dont have that kind of rigid traditions and reformed a lots including Marumakkatayam .But still womans are powerful inside our family structure .

Even though they have different surname their profession was in military in medeival Kerala and rest is agriculture .They had a lots of land.

This is our insignia that shows our heritage.
Like the other guy said there is nothing to ashame about our lineage .
Actually we are proud about woman folks and maintained their discipline in those harsh centuries

And even in our community all these are under General category as per constitution.
But there is sub caste in this community that under OBC also.You can google it
