They believe just about anything. Nehru was Jinnah's cousin; Taj Mahal was Tejo Mahalya; Godse was a patriot. It's laughable. Pointing out different facts do not change what Vajpayee was. He has blood on his hands, much like his cohort Advani. He was never the liberal or the stateman people make him out to be. As a Prime Minister, instead of punishing Narendra Modi for 2002, he decided to engage in the farcical election mandate as a verdict of guilt or innocence.

I don't see the day far off, when Ajay Bhist becomes the Prime Minister and people reminiscence on what a great liberal stateman Modi was, forgetting all his crimes of yesteryears.

I had said many years ago that best thing that can happen to Pakistan is BJP. BJP will rip India apart on its own. We just need to be prepared for shrapnel and craziness from that side of the border. A hurt, weakened India will be more irrational. Obviously I hope sane minds prevail in India and Indian's don't go through the hell they recently went through (CoVid). But there is a pathology in the nation called India. It is often defined more as a mob than a country, and as she begins to take sides in big country politics, she will finally face the test of national cohesion. I think next 2-3 decades will either see a fractured India, or more or less the same squalor and craziness. I don't not see a transformed, modern, egalitarian India.
