What a bunch of BS. I live in australia and can tell you the real average salary is nowhere near $68,000. Most people i know struggle to make even $60,000 a year. Pay is actually decreasing in australia for the majority.

As for purchasing power india is third in world in PPP terms. Australia with $1.3 trillion economy is nowhere close i suggest you check your facts.

The wrong type of economic growth has taken place over the past 4 years in india. The type where rich get richer and poor have their pay stagnate or drop. Although indian economy is growing wealth equality is getting worse which will only harm the economy in the long run.

BJP folk are too simple minded to understand there is more to economics than just high GDP numbers. You can have high GDP like the USA but still have high level of poverty.

PPP per capita is a good way of measuring standard of living for an individual. But it’s not a good measurement of national wealth or power or international trade.

What is India’s per capita GDP in PPP and what is its nominal GDP is the best measurement of individual standard of living and national wealth, respectively.
