It seems India has given its first verdict against Modi’s fundamentalist policies in the Bihar elections where Modi´s Hindu nationalist party unable to take even 80 out of the 243-seat state assembly compared to 160 for a coalition of rival regional parties.

Modi turned the Bihar poll into a key test of his popularity, addressing some 30 campaign rallies and promising voters billions of dollars for development in a state where two thirds lack access to electricity.

To tell you the truth, I wanted BJP to loose in this Bihar election.
I will give you my reasons.

It is important that a healthy balance in maintained between the champion and the challenger. The way BJP won the general election, it was a land slide. Bihar election is after a long time since the general election and if the same conditions had repeated then it would mean, there is simply no opposition.

Now, absence of worthy opposition means absolute power, and absolute power leads to corruption, I have seen things, how it happens. Hence, the role of the opposition is very much important. It keeps things under check, does not let the situation explode. It brings about progress.

So, I am glad that BJP lost it there.

I am upset, Modi should have won, infact he should get majority
He is doing our work, work that ISI couldnt do

Aww i was seeding for him. That's a bummer. India is so much better under Siri Paae Modi Ji. I wish to bhagwan that he gives him more success in future so he could turn Bharat into RSSTAN.

Jai hind.

poor pakistanis have an obsession with modi , whether he wins or losses they are always happy to discuss him. Check their newspapers to get a sense.
Even Indian don't discuss modi this much as Pakistani do, watching Pakistani news channel & reading their newspaper for last couple of years there always a news about modi almost everyday

In the absence of any good leaders at local level, BJP could have not won in Bihar. It is for similar reasons that BJP has not been very successful in Kerala.

BJP is still the largest party in Bihar in terms of percentage vote share. BJP is gaining vote share in India in every election.
