Thank you... i will make sure to donate some amount as well..
It is not for weapons purchases.
Indian journalists aren't the brightest when it comes to classifying the well-defined roles of military welfare personnel associations.
Our defence budget is one of the top 10 on this planet and our economy is booming.
What makes anyone think that we need to donate to buy weapons is beyond my understanding.
You will see many poor people of our country will donate for Indian Armed forces... That's more than your phrase Bad Time!!!Oh my Looord !
Itna bura waqt aagya hay India per? (Is India facing such a bad time?)
In addition to all those direct and indirect taxes, the already poor indians now are being asked to donate also to meet the ever-increasing needs of their military elites and machinery?
When will the common Indian, the sheep, the awaam/junta, WAKE UP and see what this MODI is doing and leading them to?
Talking of Pakistan. Informed Pakistanis are well aware how the business community has directly, yet discreetly supported various strategic initiatives and projects of our armed forces over the past many decades and continue to do so. Many of the achievements we see today are a direct result of the financial, logistical and other support which has come from the civilian section of society. And many a times (as was in BB's time), the government wasn't even aware of this support/involvement.
Its a welfare account.. and not a weapon purchase budget supplement....ISLAMABAD: Like never before, the Modi government has started a new scheme exclusively for Indian Army Battle Casualties and Weapon Purchase. The government has opened bank account where people can donate funds directly to Army Welfare Account which will be used for purchasing weapons for the Indian Army and providing facilities for war casualties, reported international media.
People had suggested government to open bank account to collect funds exclusively for battle casualties and purchasing weapons for army. The Modi government has accepted the suggestion and opened an account in Syndicate Bank, New Delhi for the same.
The most attractive feature of this scheme is people can donate the smallest amount of one Rupee.
there is a difference when a country with 8 billion $ defence budget does it and when a country with 50 billion $ defence budget does it.
if this was done in pakistan you will have see flood of indian trolls and they will keep it alive next 10 years that poor pakistani army have no funds its begging from public .every weapon purchase they must say pakistan army have no funds for poor solders how they will pay this amount
as india did it so its now
nice step
good move
Good initiative

LolzGhareeboooon. Chanda maangnay waaalooooon. Kuch sharam karo. Kuch haya karo.
You can call that chanda or whatever its good. We are contributing to our army unlike our neighbor country whose people are so selfish that the nation has to make frequent visit with a begging bowl to US and IMF. If only you made this little sacrifice for your nation you would have your 8 F16. Instead your great nation became a laughing stock for mere 8 F16. May be Pakistan deserves citizens better than you.Ghareeboooon. Chanda maangnay waaalooooon. Kuch sharam karo. Kuch haya karo.
