Are you sure they stop Hindus and others from getting into the Mosques to visit? My Muslim friends have taken me to their mosques many times, just o grab free dinner......and just like that, my Sikh friends have taken me to their Gordara many times, just to get lunch and dinner.
In fact, in the US, mosques hold regular community outreach where they invite local population for dinner inside the mosques so people can see its just like a church and isn't doing anything silly as its portrayed in the media.
If you've never been to a mosque, reach out to a muslim friends that you know, its always nice to visit these kind of places and hear a historical perspective on other religions. You always learn a couple of things you didn't know before.
A couple of my Brahman friends and employees taught me a lot of stuff about Vedas and the ancient Indian history, that's why I poke fun of the "newly" modified version of the "Vedic" times. In fact, the real historical Vedic era, didn't have anything they are now adding. In fact, it was a very fascinating chain of events, and tells you evolution of the Hindu religion.
