These are just sports not useful in real fight

I disagree with this. The most important part of martial arts training is the sparring. When you come into a fight you automatically are familiar with the situation and your mind is trained on how and when to focus on defence or offence. For the average person on the street, we only fight when we are angry, at that moment most akal has disappeared already from us. It's not common to find someone who has regular practice fighting on the street.

Of course martial arts training doesn't always train you for the emotional part of a street fight (fear, anger etc), but it does give you an advantage over the layman.

Thank you for tag bhai

Put Krav Maga as option.
Krav Maga is self defense in real life threatening situations in any kind of environment- not in a ring or arena like MMA or others martial arts.

Krav Maga is taught to throw an opponent down with in 5 seconds and move to tackle the next opponent. Training involves tackling 4+ opponents at 1 time.
I've considered KM as well but the training videos show it's more effective when the opponent isn't hitting back but I maybe completely wrong since I never trained in it. While I certainly agree MMA is more of a ring sport, Muay Thai IMO looks like you can inflict more damage to the opponent since it's the art of 8 limbs and punches/kicks with elbows/knees is more effective

Go for MMA as it combines pretty much everything as boxing, Jiu jitsu, Muay thai.
Even the SOF have moved toward MMA from traditional karate and taekwondo.
Jiu Jitsu is primarily for takedowns while boxing IMO is effective on the street if you have a huge build particularly when dealing with those heavy arse black guys and after looking at the MMA's training, I felt it's more of a ring sport. I'm 5'10 weighing 180 pounds and that I think would definitely play a major factor if you ever come across dealing with big guys on the street

As @Signalian pointed out, I feel Muay Thai or Krav Maga would be more effective on the street

MMA isn't a ring sports if you ask me. There are rules to be followed in MMA on mats and octagon however during the practice every action and the consequences are told clearly to participants for instance anyone training MMA knows heel lock isn't allowed but he trains for it, rear naked choke is trained, guillotine is practiced.
My MMA instructor was also training SSGs in Cherat for the very same reason that boxing isn't going to protect you if the next guy is taking you down in a street fight. Muay Thai is useless if the next guy comes into your guard, krav maga is only for defense in case the next guy is untrained.

Boxing is not at all effective in a street fight, the agility and explosiveness may help though in an one-to-one fight especially if the counterpart is coming at you hammer and tongs. For the untrained(those without callous formation in their knuckles) a full on impact on the opponent's bony skull can easily fracture the metacarpal joints or injure wrist ligaments, in fact boxers are directed to never engage in a bare knuckle fist fight, hands are to be protected at all costs.

Muay Thai is a much better alternative for self defence.

As for self defence via boxing, i would urge someone to learn to slip punches and body blows first, and if the need arises shock your opponent via couple of quick jabs before disorienting them with a full bodied cross/hook and then run away from the spot as fast as one can..
