Mitre Wins $420M for AF Systems Engineering, Foreign Sales
Support Posted by Ross Wilkers on October 1, 2012 · Leave a Comment Mitre Corp. has won a $420,448,108 cost reimbursable contract from the U.S. Air Force for systems engineering and integration work, the Defense Department announced Friday. Work will support foreign military sales agreements with Saudi Arabia,
France, Iraq, Korea, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Taiwan,
Columbia,Turkey, Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Sweden, Poland, Germany,
Hungary, Greece, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Finland, the
U.K. and Japan. The non-profit corporation, which operates federally-funded research
and development centers, will perform work in Bedford, Mass. through
Sept. 30, 2013. In September, the Air Force awarded the corporation nearly $394.1 million for fiscal year 2012 ceiling and non-ceiling program support including systems engineering. Six percent of those funds support foreign military sales agreements.
