Misuse of the Mobile SIMMs

Yesterday I received a Call from my brother in Pakistan, That they Received a Police inquiry Letter about me .

My Brother Went to Nearby Police Station and Police officer said that 'A Criminal is using a SIMM that was issued against My NIC' and Criminal was trapped by Calling through this Number.

Police asked for Co-operation in Investigation.

It is Little worry for my family , I Never used that SIMM or I was never careless about my NIC. I only spent about 1 month in Pakistan this year.

I need your help , How to get full Information about This SIMM , and how to manage this issue.

First of all put you NIC here and see how many sims are open on your NIC....if any which is not in your use then Ask someone in Pakistan to contact the company and block it

There are always criminal minded people in telecom companies who will issue a sim card on someone ID from database. Unfortunatly, Pakistan seems to happen a lot of such criminal thugs. I have always protected myself by never buying a SIM on my name so my CNIC never makes its way into telecom company database. Because i live abroad and such blunders could deal me a severe blow.

Yes I have Checked There , 2 Ufone SIMMs On My name. I am not Sure but i think both of the SIMMs that I have are Registered against my Name.

What is way to check which 2 Numbers are on my name?

Well now thats become some kind of personal information so ask your brother in Pakistan to tell the whole story to company (Ufone) And ask them what numbers are on your name...Do he have a colored copy of your NIC? If not fax him your ID as Fax is accepted official basis and will do teh job if he dont have Colored id....

But first ask your brother to pay visit Ufone....Who know they tell you without any problem.

I am talking about blocking the sim which is not involved in any police case as yet.....Block it so that it dont create problem....As far the sim with police case is involved i'll advise you to tell the police and take them in confidence before blocking it......

SIMM stands for Single inline Memory Module

SIM we are talking about is Subscriber Identity Module
