‘Mission completed’: Ukraine minister says warplanes on the way

A10 can only be deployed in an uncontested airspace. Russians will duck shoot A10s and for that reason You will never see A10s in Ukraine.
You are right of course, and I am assuming Ukraine will at some point get an air edge with all this equipment reaching them.

.
You don’t see the comics?
Putin bombs the Chechen separatists.
Russia warplanes bomb Syria separatists.
Apparently the Russians hate separatism.
So why they support own foreign separatists in Georgia, Moldavia and Ukraine?
the exact reason usa won't tolerate sepratism on its country but promote it in other countries

.
Think they are referring to the Mig-29 from Slovakia

But wouldn’t you say seeing the A-10 do what it was designed to do; take on Soviet armor would be the best way to retire these birds.

They are also no real threat to the Russian mainland when confronted by Su-35s or better.

Depends

Ukraine only needs local superiority to use A-10, that's still a possibility especially seeing Russia failed to gain nominal air superiority. You give them enough fighter and enough AA/SAM and they can maintain local air superiority, then they can use A-10.

Bear in mind there are 3 patriot system already going to Ukraine, you need 5 for the entire country, which mean 3 of them couple with NASAM and IRIS-T would be able to provide that (local Air Superiority) if the Ukrainian have their plane number back up and cover the gap.

But then that ultimately the US decision to give them those weapon, I am seeing it, either that or earlier version of Strike Eagle, but probably not this year.

Pity U.K. haven't still got a few Harriers still operable. Great ground attack plane for Ukraine

The A-10 could take off from austere bases. Amongst western aircraft. It’s the most Versatile, especially if operating under the SAM cover lien you identified.

But I agree they also need dedicated fighter aircraft to deal with Russian fighters. So preferably Russian origin aircraft their pilots are familiar with. Best option would be to give them all the Mig-29s in NATO and from collectors in the West.

Putin bombs the Chechen separatists, Chechen cities to ashes. Why I don’t see no complaint?

Why complaining Ukraine bombs the separatists?

Name me a country that tolerates separatists!
Texas
South Sudan
Indonesia(east Timor)
Kosovo
Bosnia

Depends upon factors especially what a super power wants.

Don't be upset if Ukraine gets nuked

.
Warthogs were great at destroying tanks in Iraq, but it was a turkey shoot. Two days ago we were told how a Ukra conscript shot down six Russian planes with a sam. A10's are subsonic so they could also be easy targets.

East Timor is not separarist, Indonesia invaded the country in 1977

Don't you think the moment these planes land in Ukraine the airbase will be hit?

They need runways to fly from. Russia cratered most of them on Day 1. They can do it again. The only answer would be to fly them from NATO airbases near the border - but then .....

Don't think they will transfer A-10 alone, it would have been very late stage if they are getting A-10, that's the final bit of the Combine Arms Tactics. I suspected they are either going to give them some F-16 or F-15C first, or together with the A-10. But that most likely would not be this year or at the very end.

No chance nato would allow that

Who is NATO going to have WW3 with?? It can't be Russia - they can cannot beat Ukraine... so not exactly a worthy candidate to have "WW3" with??

Do telll where/how WW3 will happen?
Not ww3 but nuclear winter. If Russia starts losing in Ukraine, Russia might use nukes and win. Question then is will US or UK use nukes on Russia in response.
