‘Mission completed’: Ukraine minister says warplanes on the way

.
If they do provide aircraft, I be curious what will be provided.

A-10s? The U.S. military is thinking about getting rid of them, almost 280 of them total with many more in storage that can be used for spare parts. Might as well provide them a new home in Ukraine for short and long term with current war and deter Russia in future. Replaces their Su-25s. Long range weaponry can keep them viable.

Tornado?

The UK retired them years ago. But they are in storage in the hundreds I believe. Germany retired half of theirs also in the hundreds and plan to retired the rest. Lots of aircraft and spare parts.

F-16.

The U.S. have some F-16s they want to get rid of. And F-16s are cheap and still in production and is multirole compared to the other aircraft I mentioned above not to mention ready to go along with plentiful spare parts especially in Europe.

Given how much the USAF dislikes the A-10, they would make the best bet. They are by their nature not long range offensive aircraft, but close range air support for ground troops and perfect for Ukraine.

Tornado's will be difficult to resurrect right now given the low number of available aiframes. Most of the retired RAF ones were broken down for spare parts for Germany.

Typhoon Trance 1's can take on and beast anything in the RuAF but they required sophisticated supply and maintenance lines - so they would not make sense right now unless the other Trance 1 operators also handed them over to Ukraine to build critical combat mass that makes the setting up of supply chains viable for the fleet.

Right now - it is the A10's or F16s - so it is once again down to the USA as Europe does not much a viable solution ...

Think they are referring to the Mig-29 from Slovakia

.
It's better give them Russian made aircrafts than Western made.

That way can be seen how Russians attack the airplanes they made, they must know the weak points better than anyone.

No It would be better for Ukraine to get western jets as they Ukrainians must be knowing goods and bads of russian planes and with this nato and america and Ukraine's allies will learn a lot regarding russian planes and how to tackle them

. . .
This is insane. Inching towards WW3. Knowing last two went. First it's inching and then landsliding towards war. And I don't want to be drafted for the goras.

Who is NATO going to have WW3 with?? It can't be Russia - they can cannot beat Ukraine... so not exactly a worthy candidate to have "WW3" with??

Do telll where/how WW3 will happen?

Yes, it would be better for Ukraine Western jets.
But it's better for the West give them Russian jets. And the same with every else advanced weapon system.

Give them Western made is dangerous if it's captured by Russia.
Give them Russian made is safe and the information got is useful for a future war against Russia.

They WILL have Western Jet eventually, but not this year, probably not next year, and probably after this confrontation ends.

And it will be most likely F-16 or FA-50 (If it was after this war)

The west will give them all their old Soviet Jet in order to try to win the war for Ukraine, if this doesn't work, US probably will give them old F-16 on condition.

Thats not how it works. Even you supposedly know about the last two world wars.
