Keep trying Pakistan+Iran+Afghanistan Emirate relationship will only grow stronger in sha Allah.

@waz I humbly request that you check the IP address of Mr. 'BATMAN'. There is increased lobbying/propaganda post coming from him these days. He seems to be siding with anti-Pakistan elements by cherry picking the articles which align with his agenda.

Why non of pdf members are posting this big development?

Missiles used to attack Saudi Arabia 'of Iranian origin': U.N.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cruise missiles used in several attacks on oil facilities and an international airport in Saudi Arabia last year were of “Iranian origin,” U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told the Security Council in a report seen by Reuters on Thursday.

Guterres also said several items in U.S. seizures of weapons and related materiel in November 2019 and February 2020 were “of Iranian origin.”

Some have design characteristics similar to those also produced by a commercial entity in Iran, or bear Farsi markings, Guterres said, and some were delivered to the country between February 2016 and April 2018.

He said that “these items may have been transferred in a manner inconsistent” with a 2015 Security Council resolution that enshrines Tehran’s deal with world powers to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.

Iran’s mission to the United Nations said there were “serious flaws, inaccuracies and discrepancies” in the report.

“Iran categorically rejects the observations contained in the Report concerning the Iranian connection to the export of weapons or their components that are used in attacks on Saudi Arabia and the Iranian origin of alleged U.S. seizures of armaments,” the mission in New York said in a statement.

Washington is pushing the 15-member council to extend an arms embargo on Iran that is due to expire in October under the nuclear deal. Council veto-powers Russia and China have already signaled their opposition to the move.

Guterres reports twice a year to the Security Council on the implementation of an arms embargo on Iran and other restrictions that remained in place after the deal.

The U.N. chief said the United Nations examined debris of weapons used in attacks on a Saudi oil facility in Afif in May, on the Abha international airport in June and August and on the Saudi Aramco oil facilities in Khurais and Abqaiq in September.

“The Secretariat assesses that the cruise missiles and/or parts thereof used in the four attacks are of Iranian origin,” Guterres wrote. Guterres also said that drones used in the May and September attacks were “of Iranian origin.”

He also said the United Nations had observed that some items in the two U.S. seizures “were identical or similar” to those found in the debris of the cruise missiles and the drones used in the 2019 attacks on Saudi Arabia.

The Security Council is due to discuss Guterres’ report later this month.

U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Kelly Craft has said she will circulate a draft resolution to extend the arms embargo on Iran soon. If Washington is unsuccessful, it has threatened to trigger a return of all U.N. sanctions on Iran under the nuclear deal, even though it quit the accord in 2018. Diplomats say Washington would likely face a tough, messy battle.

Iran has breached parts of the nuclear deal in response to the U.S. withdrawal and Washington’s reimposition of sanctions.

“I call upon all Member States to avoid provocative rhetoric and actions that may have a negative impact on regional stability,” Guterres wrote in the 14-page report.

First of all it's not an article, it's UN report.... and serious one!
If it's hurting your stated alliance, i can delete it my self, just ask for it, no need to bother your friend @waz
BTW, what's the back ground of the alliance you stated? I'm not even aware of it!

In that case, some job for moderators to do.
I didn't checked the Iranian defense section.... specially when Iran is denying any role in those missiles!
It was in the ME section..
Well..and even with Farsi written on those missiles..8-):woot:

Please tell us about the missile attacks on Mecca, were those as well of Iranian origin or locally built by houthis?

And Iranian missiles are Russian origin !!!!, so u can blame Russian too.
But in reality Yemenis made those weapon locally.

I expect Saudis going to international courts on basis of the report, and in case what you said is true, Russia may be required to explain their position as well.

The UN found out they were from Iranian origin too..What Houthis!? even people here when they want to criticise KSA they say these Houthis are primitive sandal wearing warriors..how can they make BMs then if it was not provided to them.. They don't have either the capacity nor the technologies to make them.. add the UAVs to that!?

I expect Saudis going to international courts on basis of the report, and in case what you said is true, Russia may be required to explain their position as well.
China too..lol

@Safriz you may read the remarks from @The SC
UN as well established that Missiles used to attack Mecca were as well of Iranian origin.
I don't see any reason for any one.. be it Muslim, or not to believe in Iranian denial.

Personally, i think it's Allah's duty to defend it's own house, and reply to involved according to his own plan.

Everyone knows they were Iranian weapons but question was did attack originate from Iraq or Iran .... Seems like UN did not want to answer that ....

This is interesting question, but at least, i don't know what exactly was mandate of the report!
Houthis declared ownership though!

You don't think its possible that Saudis made up the fact that Houthis were targeting Mecca to rally support for war in Yemen? The Saudis would never lie to gain support, right?

hi

There was no other place that they could get it from

However, Iran should have taken it serious and tried to prove that missile wasn't Iranian made!

It's not that i want to convince you, but just for the sake of discussion, may i ask, what sort of evidence would you admit against Iran, in case similar situation arise again ?

Now it's even a bigger shame for Iran and it's defenders, considering Iran constantly denied any connection with all those missiles and boats.

Now we can point at Iran for the killings within Yemen and in Saudi, without any one objecting to it!

Going by reputation, all world would believe Saudi vs Iran, while UN don't go by reputation, they go by analyzing evidence!

Going by history, Iran has been involved in killings and attempts of terrorism at holy places.

Going by who believed Saudi, all world believed it and condemned it.

Still if you don't want to believe it it's your choice, not a crime.

If we start counting sins, both Iran and KSA are dirty and are fighting for scraps of what is left of the fractured Muslim world.

Turkey is the only one trying to maintain order and give dignity back to Muslims.

We should be supporting the Libyan government also. Pakistan has a very positive history with Libya, they have helped us alot in our nuclear program (along with KSA.)

We are not counting sins... the context was missile attack on Mecca.

They imposed civil war upon themselves on Iranian provocation.
Why did they oust a democratic government and tried to impose an Iranian stooge on Yemen?
And the democrating government was illegal Hadi government that twice refuse to held election . and was overstated its term for one year?

Everyone knows they were Iranian weapons but question was did attack originate from Iraq or Iran .... Seems like UN did not want to answer that ....
The evidence point to west north west. Guess which country is in that direction ?

Houthis declared ownership though!

Saudis are bombing Yemen which is the poorest Arab country with expensive military equipment

Yemenis have every right to fight back and drive out Saudis who have nothing better to do than kill them.

Iran didn't create Houthis, what Iran did was make Houthis more powerful so they could stand up to Saudi aggression. There are families and children in Yemen who are alive today because Yemeni missiles supplied by Iran prevented Saudis from bombing them.

Yemen will change many things in this Region. Those oppressed people of Yemen besieged by American coalition will Come out of trouble as winners inshallah.

Inshallah

The real strength of enemy doesn't come from who made the missile but who had the balls to fire it.

For that, you need a nation of courageous people and fearless leaders.

Iran has more balls than Saudis. End of discussion.
