Miss Iraq contestant's family flee Iraq because of photo with Israeli

In EU - it is normal to even teach the bible with someone from church.. its a lesson like math but its called religionsunterricht.. but I know you guys dont even want this..

the reality is you two guys do not want anything of this... you do not want the quran applied in school or government.. and even forming the society according to it..

thats your ideology.. and I think that I am not the one to change that..

we can disguss it here but we will not come to a soulution and you know why (I am not to go an inch backwards)

you seem not to be like the ruffian before so lets end it here I am gonna sleep
The difference between me and you is that i want anyone to live as he wants but you want people to live according to your sensibilities.

The difference between me and you is that i want anyone to live as he wants but you want people to live according to your sensibilities.

I wanted to go to bed.. but I have to clarify it..

thats your interpretation or for you it seems like this..

it is not about my sensibilities.. you may know what I am all talking about. there is no choice but to apply the laws everywhere and that should be the goal.. but yes you may disagree so thats why I said we can discuss but I am stubborn on this issue

Iraq’s Miss Universe visits Israel, reunites with Israel counterpart

Iraq’s representative at the 2017 Miss Universe pageant — whose Instagram photo last year with her Israeli counterpart forced her family to flee the Middle Eastern country — is visiting the Jewish state and has reunited with Miss Israel, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office announced on Tuesday.

“Friendly relations between Israelis & Arabs will definitely help in ushering in a better tomorrow for all of us in the Middle East,” Arabic-language spokesman Ofir Gendelman wrote on Twitter.

Iraqi-born Sarah Idan lives in the United States, but her family was forced to relocate from the Arab country after the photo of her with Israel’s Adar Gandelsman went viral last year.

At the time, she withstood considerable pressure and refused to remove the Instagram image.

In December, Idan spoke about her ordeal to CNN, recounting “scary” death threats and anxious calls to her mother back home.

Miss Iraq Sara Idan is currently visiting Israel & has reunited w/ Miss Israel, her old friend from the @MissUniverse pageant. Welcome to Israel!

Friendly relations between Israelis & Arabs will defeinitely help in ushering in a better tomorrow for all of us in the Middle East.

Idan said she “didn’t think for a second there would be blowback” when she posted a selfie to Instagram with Gandelsman.

Both women published the joint selfie on their Instagram pages, expressing a desire to promote peace, while participating in the Miss Universe International Beauty Pageant in Las Vegas.

But the response in Idan’s home country was swift and vicious.

“I woke up to calls from my family and the Miss Iraq Organization going insane. The death threats I got online were so scary,” she said.

Her Iraqi sponsors demanded that she remove the photo from her account.

“The director of the Miss Iraq Organization called me and said they’re getting heat from the ministry. He said I have to take the picture down or they will strip me of my title.”

Idan refused to take down the photo, though she did write a second post stressing the photo was not a show of support for the government of Israel.

“I want to stress that the purpose of the picture was only to express hope and desire for peace between the two countries,” she wrote, going on to apologize “to all those who consider [the picture] harmful to the Palestinian cause.”

But that clarification didn’t do much good.

“People in Iraq recognized my family, they immediately knew who they were. And they were getting death threats,” Idan said. “My mom was freaking out. I told her ‘Mom, just get out. Get out.’ I told her I’m sorry and asked if she wants me to leave the competition. I was ready to drop out right then.”

Allah has assigned the Holy Land to the Children of Israel until the Day of Judgment (Koran, Sura 5 – “The Sura of the Table”, Verse 21), and “We made the Children of Israel the inheritors (of the land)” (Koran, Sura 26 – “The Sura of the Poets”, Verse 59).

Israel is secular by law! apart from marriage laws. I don't think you can compare the two. We don't hang people in the streets from cranes and our government can be voted out. Israel is a totally different society to Iran. Much more open and free.

Don't be half cook chef here in this verse Allah remind you guys what you guys did in past.
O my people, enter the Holy Land which Allah has assigned to you and do not turn back [from fighting in Allah 's cause] and [thus] become losers." (21) They said, "O Moses, indeed within it is a people of tyrannical strength, and indeed, we will never enter it until they leave it; but if they leave it, then we will enter." (22) Said two men from those who feared [to disobey] upon whom Allah had bestowed favor, "Enter upon them through the gate, for when you have entered it, you will be predominant. And upon Allah rely, if you should be believers." (23)They said, "O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here." (24) [Moses] said, "My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people." (25) [Allah] said, "Then indeed, it is forbidden to them for forty years [in which] they will wander throughout the land. So do not grieve over the defiantly disobedient people."
Al Maida (5 Surah)

Other surah is also remind you what you did in past.
The Lord of Moses and Aaron." (48) [Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all." (49) They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return. (50) Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers." (51) And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued." (52) Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers (53) [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, (54) And indeed, they are enraging us, (55) And indeed, we are a cautious society... " (56) So We removed them from gardens and springs (57) And treasures and honorable station - (58) Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel. (59) So they pursued them at sunrise. (60)And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" (61) [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." (62) Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. (63) And We advanced thereto the pursuers. (64) And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. (65)Then We drowned the others. (66) Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. (67) And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. (68) And recite to them the news of Abraham, (69) When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" (70) They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." (71) He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate? (72) Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?" (73) They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus." (74) He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping, (75) You and your ancient forefathers? (76) Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds, (77) Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me. (78) And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. (79) And when I am ill, it is He who cures me (80) And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life (81) And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." (82) [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. (83)
So you claim is not correct. You guys deny your God and Moses and even Moses asked God to join against you. So we are doing same thing what Moses did to you.

Miss Iraq Sarah Idan Cries During Visit to Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center

By Aussie Dave - June 15, 2018

During her trip to Israel, the wonderful Sarah Idan, Miss Iraq 2017, visited the Babylonian Jewry Heritage Center and met with Iraqi Jews. By all accounts (and as you will see from some of the below photos), she was very moved (to the point of crying) by the museum exhibitions, especially a seal on which was written the words “not allowed to return to Iraq” – to which she responded “I am ashamed.”

As part of the visit, Prof. Efraim Sadka spoke about how Muslim and Christian neighbors protected and saved the Jews in Baghdad during the “Farhud” – the Pogrom of 1941. Sarah was surprised to see the photo of Renee Dangoor – Baghdad Beauty Queen of 1947.

While Sarah’s visit has enraged many Iraqis, she has won a whole legion of new fans among Jews and Israelis. And I can be counted as one of them.

Miss Iraq conquers Israel (videos)

TOI reports:

Iraq’s representative at the 2017 Miss Universe pageant — whose Instagram photo last year with her Israeli counterpart forced her family to flee the Middle Eastern country — was cheered and hugged this week by shoppers at an iconic Jerusalem market during an extraordinary visit to Israel.

“It actually felt weird — the people look like my people. And the city looks like Damascus, like Syria, and I’ve been there, so everything seems familiar to me,” Sarah Idan said in a TV item aired Tuesday by Hadashot.

While Idan toured the Mahane Yehuda market, she encountered numerous Israelis of Iraqi origin, one of whom told her she would like to go back to Iraq.

“Inshallah,” or God willing, was Idan’s answer.

Idan was showered with praise, with one Israeli woman telling her: “Thank you for being so brave, you are an inspiration to all the women in the world.”

The 26-year-old Iraqi-born contestant lives in the United States, but her family was forced to relocate from the Arab country after a photo she posed for together with Miss Israel Adar Gandelsman went viral last year.At the time, she withstood considerable pressure and refused to remove the Instagram image.

Here she is in Mahane Yehuda:

Idan spoke at the AJC conference:

Imagine the reaction from an Arab audience at her vision of a future where Jews could visit Arab countries and Arabs could visit Tel Aviv.

She was also interviewed on i24:

Look how enthusiastic the entire country is about the idea of peace with the Arab world, about a vision of normalcy between Israel and its neighbors, about a young woman who risked her life in order to promote peace between ordinary people.

Compare to the uproar in Arab media whenever either an Israeli manages to visit an Arab country, or when some of theirs visits Israel.

With all the demonization of Israel as a violent colonialist regime at the UN, at NGOs and in the media, this episode shows very clearly that the real problem is this: Only Israel, as a nation, wants real peace with the other side.
