China has never provoked the US in any sort of way.
Threatenign to nuke LA, actively sayign how they will sink carriers, ramming a elint plain in international waters and then holding the crew hostage and ransacking the plane in violation of international law, massive spy rings in the US, theft of nuclear weapon secrets, attempted purchase of high tech items and the list goes on, threatening a major US Ally repeatedly, interferrign with US treaty obligations etc.
Oh gawd, see, more sinophobic propaganda.
First, the nuke LA threat.
I believe what the general was actually saying was :"I think the american value LA more than they value Taipei". Did he mention nuke??
Second, it was a response to the American threat. The american threaten first. The american has being making threats of nuking China since Korean war !! (General MacArthur I believe and a bunch of other generals was saying that - later it was a bunch of generals during Vietnam war that was making the same threat), So when America repeatly threaten China over Taiwan, you actually get a very "mild" response. So your comment is a total hypocrisy and totally unjustified. Remember, it is america that pro-actively threatening others first. And I am surprise you are shocked to get what you dish out to others.
As for "ramming a(n) elint plain (plane) in international waters and then holding the crew(s) hostage and ransacking the plane in violation of international law" - first, you have violated the Chinese territorial water integrity. Either that or too close to it. If the reverse is done to america, I am very sure, American would have shot down Chinese Elint plane without even batting an eye. Infact, a Chinese ELINT plane would never even get pass Guam. NOW THAT'S TOTAL HYPOCRISY. America would never allow anyone even get close to its shore or even anything remote to it. Total hypocrisy.
As for spy ring, I am sure CIA/NSA does exactly the same thing to China. SO PLEASE, SPARE ME THE HYPOCRISY. When CIA/NSA does it to others, it is all a "win to the american intelligence community", but when the reverse happen to you, you cried foul and whine to no end. So, cry me a river, like anyone would care.
I never said that, but instead of a colorful metaphor more fititgn a military based forjum I should have just stuck with the old version- An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure.
You are the one who keeps bringing race and phobia int the mix, it is fairly obvious you ar eprojecting your racism onto me. It won't work so you should try something else.
You are implying it. And it is fairly easy to pick it out. China bashing seems to be the fad right now.
On to PPP, your attempt to discredit it fails miserably. While a Chip, a ton of armor grade steel, or som other high tech military technology should cost the same across national borders it doesn't. While a new fighter in the US,UK,Japan would ahve comaprable costs, a new fighter form a centralized and planned economy wouldn't. More centralized state run/state owned economies have historically shown massive cost savings for comaprable items not least becuase of the lack of signifigant profit factor. One has only to comapre the price of an F-15 to a SU-30MKM to see the differance or an F-16blk52 to a J-10. PPP does translate into this realm.
Oh I am?? I failed miserably?? Says who? You?? LMAO. Please if you want to make this kind of statement, please fix your spellings and tidying up your sentences, and make more logical argument with references. It is pathetic to read uneducated statements or argument full of spelling errors and no reference.
Now, Let's see, J-10 cost $40 million each with its single engine (lacking a FADEC), average avionics and radars, is more comparable to F-16 earlier version (A/B) which cost $16 million each. WOW!! OMG !! It's actually CHEAPER!!

And now onto Su-30 MKI, which cost $33-45 million each, compare to the similar F-15 A/B/C/D which cost $28-30 million each...

Again, it seems your argument failed miserably.
