Minister asks Pakistani women to dress properly in Saudi Arabia

Yeah God told us to cover so we're covering but these strict mullahs should not dictate us what to wear . Topi burkaah, black thick abaayaa, black clothe are all oppression of these mullahs on women while in islam woman has to be at ease practicing religion .
I don't know about not covering face in haj but overall , I don't there's compulsion in religion for covering the face . I don't cover face when in pardah, only scarf and modest dress but still feel Allah's mercy and his pleasure .
Are there elements in the right wing which try to enforce their views on the population basing it on Islam while it has nothing to do with the religious doctrine? Yes .. I remember, Ustaad Nouman Ali Khan addressing such an issue regarding ayaat, which our moulvi hazrat interpret as the general permission to hit their wives, and he went and cleared it with his seniors and it came out that his seniors (in scholarship) interpreted it differently where the permission was ONLY in the case of a spouse cheating on the husband ... So yes, there are examples of such events occurring. However, are you an Islamic scholar?

I'm a scholar in the subject of managerial sciences. Now in this vast field, if you bring something for me to explain, I might attempt to do so and succeed. But if you come to me and ask for me to make a call for whats a right or wrong (for instance let's consider a call on managerial strategy) I, even as a scholar in the same field would not be able to help you around 90% of the time because my specialization is in ONE FACET UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS of a huge field. If only someone brought to me a case of the same facet under the same conditions which I've thoroughly researched and know the scholarly literature and the progression of literature from the past to the present, ONLY THEN can I make calls on the strategy as to whats right or wrong in that particular situation.

So how is it that you and I can make calls on whats right and wrong without having the relevant knowledge, context etc in serious religious discussions? I find it quite funny when people on the liberal/left end of the spectrum insult people on the right because of 'ignorance' and all, because when it comes to religion, we are just as clueless if not more.
Such guys are rare ... very rare , I correctly remember one guy who was like this was when I once went to a madrassa and that guy was a controller and whenever women walked by or talked to him , he looks down . Other than him , I have not yet find such decent man .
But have experienced so many moments when men looked , stared , , hoot, stalked , harrased , flirt .... even in pardah, ignorant ones . But has also saw some of respectable too
So finally , such decent men would be a miracle in the world .
Nope ... Like I said ... I know many guys like that. Granted, most guys will not stare at the ground while talking to you, but when carrying out a conversation, they'll just maintain an eye contact in a normal convo. It's not "stalking" "harassing" or "Dirty looking" if a guy is just maintaining an eye contact.

Secondly, I find it really funny when all the culpability is thrown on the male gender for all this sort of stuff. Let's not forget, women do this sort of thing too and you actually get away with it because when women do it ... it's not seen as malicious as men doing the same thing.

From what i've heard the burkah is very comfortable.

Believe it or not, I myself saw some "Gori" and gooras in Madina. Where non-muslims are not allowed i guess..
And that too with goree dressed in a skirt , just like in your picture.

Do not break the law of any country when visiting/living there.

Tbh this is a rather shitty arguement because im 100% sure that Melania Trump wasn here to perform Hajj or Umrah , the Pakistani dude only advised to pakistani pilgrims that they should dress appropriately (which im sure they do).

Also double standards and exemptions can be made when youre the wife of the most powerful man on the planet. :)

in all honesty, 80-90% of women when in public in Pakistan wear full black abaya, i highly doubt they wouldn't do the same in saudi?

hahaha yeah i fully agree with the message.
conservatism is a slippery slope that almost always leads to oppression and backwardness.
we need to stop these mullahs, they've even taken away our graceful and beautiful shalwar kameez from our women and put them in those horrible garbage bags. it makes me sad.

Umm how about telling men to lower their gaze as their religious duty? of course that wont happen we all know why!
So convenient way is to cage women like goats because men cannot perform their religious duty of lowering their gaze.

Hijab is what you see on Haj.

While inaugurating a two-day training programme for pilgrims on Wednesday at Faisal Mosque, the minister said every year a lot of complaints had been received about Pakistani women pilgrims not covering themselves properly and modestly during their stay at Saudi Arabia. “Every single woman pilgrim should take at least two ‘abayas’ along with her,” he said.
Our women should know that Mrs Trump took a complete dozen for her visit to KSA

These Sheikhs hunt our rare Animals, break the laws, fund terrorism and then allege our women for immodesty. Surprised to see Wannabe Saudi Pakis supporting them here.

A
There's a hadith where prophet Muhammad saww advised a female companion to cover herself except hands and face . Prophet Muhammad saww is right and we women should only follow our prophet saww not these strict people .

Topi burkah amd wearing such uncomfortable covering dress is nothing but oppression .
Anyway , it all depends on woman's choice thay weather she covers face or not but it should be woman chosen for herself not men .

I respect pardah in islam for women but I hate oppression . And in my opinion shalwar kameez is modest with decent long kameez that covers and is pardah with daupatta as scarf . It is according to islam .
