‘Minerals extraction is also part of space programme goals’: ISRO

Sad... just sad... This is what happens when you hand a country like Ethiopia a bunch of money... The baniyas have no idea how to spend it and use it on useless things like space when they could be feeding the poor in India.

We spend 70 billion pound an year for wellfare of poor & is planning to spend $ 1 trillion on infrastructure alone for next five years.
And we have got a succesful space program & earn & save a lot of $$ by sending & launching sats for us & other countries for our own.

But I'll say India should donate some amount for a low HDI country,on its west, what do ypu.say?

@$$ burning about Indian succeses?

Fools like you will never understand,so let us Indians mind what our ISRO does, and you may take all your money from your mighty SUPARCO eradicate poverty in Pakistan. Your country must have no poverty at all as your no money was "wasted" on SUPARCO!

something significant your chinese moon probes did which we are missing ?

Chinese moon missions have been the worst moon missions ever planned .. nothing you guys discovered except maybe some photographs of other side of the moon..

Pretty rich coming from you guys especially when the people working in chinese space missions are a drag on the entire chinese economy ! :omghaha:

His point is that sending a man up in the space to float around is more important that conducting preliminary probing and research. :D

Ignore him. Talk to him when his country can manufacture a launch vehicle.

I think if mineral extraction was a long term goal, why not setup another organization for exploring ocean bottom same way?

Its pretty human-centric to think that the only minerals are available on land. And then space?!

Not so soon. We will be wasting public money with nothing to do at this stage.

If at all ocean exploration has to be done, it has to be done b companies like ONGC and other energy giants.
