Milkor to open new office in Saudi Arabia

As it continues to grow and expand its presence around the globe, aerospace and defence company Milkor is opening its third international office, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), which will greatly strengthen its positioning in the Saudi Arabian defence sector.
The official launch of the Riyadh office is set to take place at World Defence Show during March 2022 when Milkor will showcase its latest products and technological innovations.
“With the aim of becoming a bespoke defence solutions provider, the office in Riyadh will assist in adding value to the local military market and align with the Saudi Vision 2030. The establishment of a local office with manufacturing capabilities opens new doors for collaborations with local entities and helps instil a legacy of being a recognised solution provider in the near future,” said MC de Beer, CEO of Milkor KSA.
Milkor has been expanding its presence around the globe and opened its first international office in New Delhi, India, in February 2020. At the time, Milkor India Managing Director Luciano Jardim said it was just the first of many to come as Milkor invests into one or two countries per continent. Milkor’s United Arab Emirates (UAE) office was officially launched at IDEX 2021 in Abu Dhabi.
With the primary focus on localisation and the development of in-country capabilities, the establishment of international offices allows Milkor to develop new relations with local military markets and continue to be at the forefront of technological innovations, the company said.
The Milkor 40 mm Automatic Grenade Launcher (AGL) will also be displayed at the World Defence Show in 2022 and joins Milkor’s range of grenade launchers that includes the 40 mm SuperSix, single shot Stopper Convertible, UBGL (under-barrel grenade launcher), Mk 1S/L less lethal weapon and MAR 37, 38 and 40 mm anti-riot weapons. The AGL is designed to be used as a medium to long range suppressive fire weapon with a maximum range of 2 200 metres.
Building on its reputation as the original manufacturer of the now widely popular 40 mm multiple grenade launcher, Milkor has become a specialist in the fields of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), armoured land vehicles, and naval vessels. Its diverse product portfolio now ranges from single shot and six-shot grenade launchers to armed and unarmed unmanned aerial vehicles, the MN Centurion patrol boat and Milkor 4×4 Armoured Personnel Carrier.
