Pakistan Military recovers some expenses incurred in war against Terror , CSF apporved by USA

WASHINGTON: The American Congress has authorised up to $700 million in Coalition Support Fund (CSF) to reimburse Pakistan for activities carried out in support of US operations in Afghanistan.

The authorisation is included in the reconciled text of the House and Senate versions of the 2018 National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA-2018), which was released on Thursday.

Why is Pak Army asking for money for fighting terrorists on its own soil?Isn't that the job of the Pak Army?

Coalition Support Funds (CSF) refers to money from the Defense Emergency Response Fund (DERF) that is eligible to be used to reimburse coalition partners for logistical and military support to U.S. military operations.

Wrong title and false news in my view - it was just approval, though all of it is contingent but $350M is subject, specifically, to mattis' certificate and rest maybe withheld anytime as well until it's not finally transferred to Pakistan in form of helicopters or soybean. Any idea the money previously put by pentagon intro escrow? Did Pakistan get the certificate?

I really wish Pakistan strong and self reliant, so, we no longer need such things.

Weren't indians like you saying only a few weeks ago that the indian/american relationship was so strong now that america will devastate Pakistan on india's behalf? That america will economically isolate Pakistan on india's behalf? The americans have responded by giving Pakistan £700 million. You know where that money is going don't you? It will be used for our nuclear weapons program That's right, your american friends are paying for our nuke program. They are paying for india to be weak, pathetic and powerless to do anything to an enemy that is more than 7x smaller than india and doesn't have abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems like india does.

Both the world's ONLY superpowers and the international community by and large, need to deal with a nation that is a powerful nuclear weapons state of 200 million that has an economy set to grow exponentially thanks to CPEC. This is even more pertinent now as a global superpower has invested in $62 billion in Pakistan with many more billions earmarked for further investments in the coming years and decades. This is compounded by the fact the China has now dispersed it's key strategic assets all over Pakistan. This has all but permanently ensured that the indian threat to Pakistan has been destroyed forever.
