Milad/Mawlid Mubarak on the birth of the Prophet(saws)

Blessings and greetings on the birth of our master Rasool Allah(saws).

1400 years ago Allah almighty sent his beloved Prophet peace be upon him as a mercy to all mankind. It was a great day for the human race. It was a day of mercy and rahmat. Prophet peace be upon him did alot for his ummah, he always cried Ya Allah almighty forgive my ummah as they commit sin, Ya Allah almighty ummah is sinful do not punish them. The dua was for all the ummah so after 1400years we are still benefitting from of Prophet peace be upon him duas, his crying for the ummah. He Prophet peace be upon him loved his ummah so we need to love him back.

Where it is said that do not celebrate Prophet (P. B. U. H)'s birthday? When Allah(SWT) celebrated himself

I dont get this....if we are not allowed to celebrate our birthdays why do we celebrate the prophet pbuh birthday when he never did? This is a genuine question.

Brother we celebrate or remember our countries birthdays, armed forces days, military victory days so why not remember the day Holy Prophet peace be upon him came to guide us 1400years ago. Prophet peace be upon him kept a fast to remember his birthday.

I do however disagree with the commercialising of Mawlid. Some people always want to make money from good things, be it even serving the poor.

I have seen people who oppose celebrating the birth of the prophet PBUH celebrate the birthday of their children. This narrowmindedness need to stop. Eid is also commercialised which is an Islamic celebration. We have no issues with that. We wear good designer clothes, go to mosque to pray and eat fancy dinners at home. The rememberance of the birth of the final prophet should also be celebrated with utmost respect. This is highly encouraged.

Besides, we should also celebrate Christmas if it is only to remember prophet Jesus PBUH who is also one of our prophets. The final prophet PBUH used to participate and celebrate other non-Islamic festivities. We know this.

We also drive cars and have smartphones which the prophet PBUH didn't have in those days. Should we stop driving cars and using smartphones? These are all illogical questions.

This celebration has been celebrated here ever since the inception of this site, it's a national holiday (in every other Muslim state as well bar one) in Pakistan and an integral part of our culture and faith.
It will be celebrated here with vigour inshallah.
