Mike Pompeo with the facts: "In the end, we will crush Chinese communist Party just as we did Soviets"

. .
Everything the US said has come out true. They said no matter how succesful the Chinese growth looks right now, someone will come along and compromise the whole thing just to consolidate their poiltical power- and what they said has come true.

a) Who screwed the Ali Baba group and messed up the listing of the Ant group? Nor USA but China itself
b) Who crashed the Chinese real estate market after letting it build itself into a bubble? Not USA but China itself
c) Who is crashing the manufacturing industry by messing up relations with other countries? Not USA but China itself

There is no reason for Apple to shift manufacturing or any other companies to do so except the fear that the random policies of the CCP has created. Americans are right- China's policies will eventually put all her accomplishments in peril. And they have.

Another dumb comment from Indian. Chinese government did well to prevent China's economy becoming US like financial capitalism. Which is good for China's long term development. And China did not mess up relationship with other countries. On the contrary, it was some other countries that messed up with China under the US orders. India is one of them.

What's left that US still dominates besides military? even in miliatry, China is catching up fast.
Cultural hegemony, whole world wears western/US clothes and brands for the most part, we like their music and movies and food and language and other brands and trends.

Soft power, basically, it counts for a lot.

China has soft power and its own culture, as do some other states but so far they don't have the global reach/appeal of murrican' stuff.

Xi has been in power for over 10 years, he didn't just come long, guess what period that China developed all across the board in leaps and bounds?

It's largely because of the dominant role of the Englishi language, but when one day "soft power" becomes the only thing that US can resort to rivaling China's development, something must be going seriously wrong for US.

. . . .
I doubt it.

We'll likely just get a bi-polar world, with a new status quo for atleast the rest of this century. China is gonna face economic problems, just like the US does, but in the end a status quo will appear and be maintained for a very long time.

Of course, this is provided that there is a devastating war either nation engages in that they cannot recover from.

[Edit] if India thrives the next 50 years, we may even get a tri-polar world. In which case Pakistan will have an even thinner rope to walk on.
The world is not big enough for 2 elephants.
Hitter Germany or Stalin USSR, Vietnam or Champa, Cartago or Rome? Only one will survive.

@jamahir

There is no Chinese Communist Party. Does Communism exist in China anymore ? Does Mao find respect ? Does any Communist in the world find China as a trustworthy ideological ally ? I don't, neither does DPRK or anyone else. :)

haha, caught by third empire ;)

Chinese are pragmatic people, have moved with the times.. flowing like a river

Maybe, but you shouldn't entirely discount it either.

Militarily, they are still waay ahead, best you stay humble.

China has the population, government approval rating, technology, deeply entrenched with global economies and countries who can provide resource in exchange for real tangible developments. China can make close to everything. It is manufacturing economy, whereas US is a service economy.

Mike Pompeo will die seeing China surpassed America.

.

USA government crushed the Soviet Union ??? You will begin to make good posts once you get that yucky female in your profile pic to put on 25 kgs and she looks feminine and gets sense and you get sense. :)

only that China isn't communist in the real sense, they're just very authoritarian.

China have slithered into the role the erstwhile USSR played for decades during the cold war.

It'd be beyond foolish to bet on either of the 2 to emerge victorious in this battle..

China are NOT communist in the traditional sense, in fact, they're very far from the old soviet communism of the 60s/70s etc

I as a Communist second that.

China has gone way beyond what USSR was at the height of its political, military and economic power.

China is a manufacturing juggernaut and a leader in all of the emerging technology fields. It's cash reserves and ownership of US debt alone is potent enough to bring down US economy.

Yes, China is a manufacturing juggernaut yet neither can build a Mars research station right now nor can it inspire Communists like me to like it as a system. Neighboring DPRK which is actually actually Communist except for its dynastic rule and a few other elements ( presence of family, money etc ) doesn't trust China either.

With the wef’s nefarious plans and agendas, these giants can quickly perish…..
Didn’t we see devastation from covid already? Millions perished everywhere…..yet the usa keeps wanting supremacy
Dumb americans always in the wrong path. Want love? Try giving help rather than war/fighting.

You indeed started good by mentioning the WEF ( World Economic Forum ) that is the regular wine party of the Capitalists and priesthood-mongers and warmongers of NATO. Every sensible, empathetic and rational person must promote the World Social Forum whose slogan is "Another world is possible" and though it happens regularly in Brazil it has also happened in Karachi and Bombay.

USA has so many homeless people and even those with homes live in misery with many having to sell blood to buy bread and its government wants to obliterate progressive and serene societies like DPRK ( North Korea ) where food is given by the system to every citizen without exchange of money. What idiots are these in White House, in the Pentagon, in Lockheed Martin and their backers on Wall Street ?

Soviets were scary, Chinese are smart. It will be very difficult to defeat China in the game of economics.

Soviets were scary how ? The USSR's ideology attracted even Westerners in Western government establishments to dedicate their lives to use their opportune moment in these establishments to contribute to the USSR preached by USSR - World Communism - in any way they can, including by memorizing documents and transmitting by shortwave radio to USSR agents.

Why ?

Why would the USA crush the communist party ?

For what reason does the USA want to crush the communist party ?

There is no Chinese Communist Party. Does Communism exist in China anymore ? Does Mao find respect ? Does any Communist in the world find China as a trustworthy ideological ally ? I don't, neither does DPRK or anyone else. :)

@CHN Bamboo, you are quite a nice, gentle person. You will make a good Communist if you are already not one. :)

Regardless of the allusion to kirket it must be said that this much vaunted pragmaticism is temporary, arrogant and non-interventionary even when called upon to stop evils. In a confrontation between good and evil there cannot be a neutral, a fence sitter. The Chinese system may find its massive manufacturing capability useless because it will have no access to external raw materials on Earth or elsewhere and technology will have moved on, become simplified, natural, useful.

China has the population, government approval rating, technology, deeply entrenched with global economies and countries who can provide resource in exchange for real tangible developments. China can make close to everything. It is manufacturing economy, whereas US is a service economy.

Mike Pompeo will die seeing China surpassed America.

Global economics isn't written in stone. It can be changed. It can be brought to the stage in five years where money itself has been abolished. What will become of Chinese supremacy then ? :)

I am from India and a Communist and I disagree with @datafreak who seems a Modi boi. But about China please read above.
