So I am not sure that there is any religious linkage.

You are right that the links are with pre-Vedic or ancient Vedic roots, but propagandists , at least on the Indian side, dress it up to be more than historically proven. The Iranians, for their part, consider themselves to be superior to all their neighbors.

The other link is that both India and Iran are obsessed with their past -- as if past greatness somehow entitles someone to future greatness,

Well idiot we do not shit on streets, beaches, railway tracks, bath in polluted rivers, marrry woman for dogs, eat shit and drink piss, kill people for dietary habits, yes jerk we are another universe for you as most of the countries in the world are in comparation with your forsaken lands.
Ignore him and report his abusive posts. Don’t reduce yourself to his level by engaging his tit for tat arguments 🙂

But, in an international conference a few days ago, India was tarnishing the image of Pakistan citing what it did in Bangladesh in 1971. I do no think, among other countries, BD may not support Pakistan on Kashmir.

By the way, was Kashmir forcefully attacked and occupied by India or it was Pakistan's Pathan tribes that attacked and occupied the part called Azad Kashmir?

As far as I know Maharaja Hari Singh wanted Kashmir to join India. Am I wrong?
But the Maharaja signed a standstill agreement with Pakistan first.

So the Maharaja was being dishonest, he did not take demographics or geography into consideration.

Also, there is supposed to be a Plebiscite to determine the destiny of the land of Kashmir.

Which is ironic given that we (Pakistan) have a greater history than India and so have the Arabs in comparison with Iran. Greater as in more numerous civilizations (by far) and older. Each country has its own history obviously but often the overly focus on the past is due to compensating for the bad present. Outside of online forums and people interested in history (archeologists, historians, geologists, occasional traditions derived from history etc.) most people in every country don't waste much energy on it.

BTW, how is the Pakistani community in Australia perceived? I always wanted to visit that country (due to the nature) but I have never visited. Yet. Is our community numerous and which ethnic groups tended to migrate to Australia? I remember reading that it was close to impossible to move to Australia back in the day. Must be a recent migration or am I wrong here?

Of course I know about the whole camel thing in the interior of Australia that helped build the railways but from what I recall that was mostly Pashtuns from modern-day Afghanistan and few ended up staying.

I assume that you are a Pakistani despite those two Australian flags.:)

No real airforce. No navy... Why are you even on a defense forum, Son of a Biatch?
Looks like you are a real Son of Bîtch,

Being a S.O.B and Indian should be unbearable .....

Feels pity for you....

Iranians have a strong link to Zoroastrian customs. Nauroz and other festivals are celebrated even by conservative Muslims.

In Pakistan, we also observe Hindu customs, especially in our weddings and birthdays, but we like to deny that fact.

I have met people from Karachi (like myself), Lahore, Balochistan, Abbotabad, etc. but I don't know if any ethnic group dominates.

Migration to Australia has always been among the easiest in the world for technical people without lots of money for an investment visa. You can self-sponsor without a job offer if your skills are in the official in-demand list.

Yeah, they were Afghans.

India past greatness ???? Can you elaborate please?

The region of South Asia called India, not the country, used to be one of the richest on the planet in terms of GDP before the British Raj. Ancient empires used to conquer as far away as Cambodia and Indonesia. Going further back, the Indus Valley Civilization in present-day Pakistan and eastern India was on par with Mesopotamian and Egyptian civilizations.

So the region does have a history of past greatness but, as I mentioned, that is not a guarantee or entitlement of future greatness.

the real damage would be to pull out investment.
Then this is the time to remind the gulf Arabs where there and with whom their money is about to be or has already been invested. Indeed if they pull their investments it will be a real lasting effect. This would be akin to western investors pulling out of Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

So West does not give a **** about all these muslims means "Ighurs" are not being prosecuted by China...

How the hell does this reasoning work?

Its not west only that is saying "Ighurs" are being prosecuted. Its "Ighurs" who escaped China are also saying the same.
PRC sycophants seem to be ubiquitous these days. No sense of self-worth

These people have no shame our ancestors made one mistake and that's not purging this land from filth like him, but we'll correct that in the coming days.
Their train of thought is just like their ganges river they take a naked dump in.
Lol! you can't elect a functioning government, your forces take orders from USA and you act like you own the world. Carry on! Shahbaz Sharif is right!

When we shot down your flying rodent just remember we didn’t need to ask anyone, especially after your country went to your new step-father asking, “how can they use it without permission Sir”. Anyways, good luck on your apology tour just pack extra towels to wrap around your waist Apu.

Are there any Indian goods to resist?

After the galawan incident, there were also some Chinese who wanted to boycott Indian goods. Unfortunately, they can't find Indian goods.

Their only gain was to find a kind of "Indian God oil(himforte oil)", which was later found to be made in Vietnam.
