LMAO!!!! When I read your post with the emoticon, I literally busted out laughing.

I love my Note 4!! Best phone I've ever owned. I love all 3 GB's of ram like they were my own children. Android is and wont be in any danger from Windows phones anytime soon my friend.

Btw, Specs on the upcoming Note 5 are looking so good!!
Did you use gear Vr for 3d movies in Note 4?
No doubt this is best mobile, but I don't like it's speaker on back side..
Otherwise totally worth w.r.t price.
While Sony Xperia z4 is coming with 4 Gb Ram. Damn ! I am expecting 4Gb RAM in note6.

Without a doubt, the best "phablet" on the market. It's been out for nine months, and it's still one of the most powerful phones out. I haven't used Vr. Have you used it? if so, what was it like?

As for the speaker of the Note 4. I agree, I don't like that it's on the back. Much would prefer if they switched it to the front. Hardly a dealbreaker for me though.

Note 5 is rumored to be having 4GB of DDR 4, an auto eject feature for the S Pen and possibly even a 4K screen among other great upgrades.

sorry but 4gb RAM and this competition of Pixel density or QHD is just overkill. Can you notice difference between QHD and full HD with naked eyes on 5 inch screen? Is your note 4 lags because it has 3 GB RAM which is already more than enough for a phone.

they are removing important factors which are Sd card and user replaceable battery ..so i guess note 4 and s5 still best for price and specification as they can run everything but people will still spend double triple money to get latest and i dont know why

I can absolutely tell you that when looking at 2k and 1080p vids, I see a difference. 2K vids look great on on the QHD 5.7 inch screen. but then, I would have actually been fine with a 1080p screen. That feature wasn't as important to me as some others. The very high pixel density on the Note 4 barely encounters a hiccup and doesn't hurt overall battery life (which was one of my initial fears)

More ram and higher res screens are going to happen with higher end phones in the near future. Its going to happen. So obviously manufacturers don't see it as overkill. As OS's get more advanced (needing more ram space to run efficiently) and apps grow in size, scale and power, I think it's good the ram in some phones will be increased.

My Note 4 is great with 3 gigs of ram. I have a hiccup now and then. but that's about it. More times than not, I'm usually using over 2 gigs of ram while power using, multi-tasking and having multiple things running in the background, so I'm glad that extra half to three quarters of a gig extra is there as a buffer.

Now, I will say that I think that Samsung removing SD Card slot and removable battery from the S6 was a huge mistake. Not reported as definite yet, but it looks like they might be taking the same course with the Note 5. Which again I think would be making a big mistake.

This thread is about Windows 10, so I'm not going to go much farther off topic.

@Peaceful Civilian is also a Note 4 owner and can give his own views if he so wishes to do so.

Its impossible to note a difference between 1080p screen of s5 and others Quad HD mobiles from a regular viewing distances. I have seen it and could not spot a difference on 5 inch screen of s5 and quad hd screen of lg g3 and may be it was there on 40 or 50 inch screen

I also found 2k/4k video recording unnecessary unless you have plenty of storage and want to watch these videos on big screen

Important factor for me is price. If i get a phone which can handle all latest games, application and give me no lags even with 2 GB RAM and good camera (no pixel race here as more pixel dont necssary mean better camera) and more important battery. I think battery is something where these manufactures should compete ..samsung touch wiz is lagging otherwise 2GB is more than enough for a mobile phone to run all operation smoothly

No they don't. And which app you are talking about. It also depends on your mobile hardware and application you are trying to run. If you are trying to run a 3D app on budget phone then it won't work here. It also depends on developer too. Candy Crush Saga game is famous on both Android and Windows phones. It was crap in its initial releases but now it has become very good and works better than before.
I only use six apps, what's app, viber and skype,Facebook, uptodate and messenger. All suck and take 3 times more slower to open on identical quadcore snap dragon processor .with identical RAM. I don't care how its good in theory if it sucks in practical life.
Than when u minimize apps in windows it practically shut down..why do you think that windows is the only software family that actually had a downward trend..because people who used thought it sucks..though looks wise its way better than andriosd...performance sucks

Microsoft rolls out Windows 10 in a bid to revive growth

WASHINGTON: Microsoft began rolling out its Windows 10 operating system Wednesday, aiming to revive the tech giant’s fortunes, especially in mobile and the “Internet of Things.”

The stakes are high for Microsoft as it pushes out the new operating system for both traditional computers and mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones.

The US tech giant is hoping the new system can help it gain traction in mobile, where it lags behind Google Android and Apple iOS.

“Our vision was one platform, one store, and one experience that extends across the broadest range of devices from the smallest screens to the largest screens to no screens at all,” said Microsoft executive vice president for Windows Terry Myerson in a blog post.

“Windows 10 begins to deliver on our vision for more personal computing. In this world experiences are mobile, moving with you seamlessly and easily across your devices. Interacting with technology is as natural as interacting with people — using voice, pen, gestures and even gaze for the right interaction, in the right way, at the right time. And in our connected and transparent world, we respect your privacy and help protect your information.”

Forrester Research analyst Frank Gillett said Microsoft faces a tough task in catching up with Google and Apple in the mobile space.

“Microsoft will face a long road ahead to gain Windows share in mobile,” he said. ”While it will win a growing share of enterprise tablet purchases, the plans for Windows 10 don’t show enough potential to create a differentiated mobile experience that will draw developers and customers away from iOS and Android.”

Richard Edwards, analyst at the consultancy Ovum, said Microsoft is looking beyond mobile to emerging technologies including wearables and other connected devices.

“This isn’t about recapturing the important mobile operating systems market,” Edwards said. ”It’s about gaining a strong foothold in the next multibillion dollar market: the ‘Internet of Things.’”

Windows 10 — Microsoft skipped directly from Windows 8, which got a lackluster response — is being offered as a free upgrade for most devices, making it possible to be available quickly on billions of devices.

It will allow for voice, pen and gesture input, and in some cases biometric identification for improved security. The Cortana virtual assistant — Microsoft’s answer to Apple’s Siri and Google Now — will also be integrated.

And Windows 10 will include the Microsoft Edge browser, a move designed to help the tech giant regain market share lost to rivals such as Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome.

Microsoft hopes to break the cycle in which consumers shun Windows for mobile because it lacks the large catalog of applications found on rival platforms, thus discouraging app makers from creating Windows versions.

Hit apps could ramp up popularity of Windows-driven hardware made by Microsoft and its partners, and increase opportunities for the company to make money from online activities such as search, shopping and software as services in the Internet cloud.

With Windows 10 and other products, Microsoft is shifting away from one-time software sales to a subscription model — or software as a service — in an effort to better compete in the new tech landscape.

Bob O’Donnell at the research firm Technalysis said the new operating system may help stimulate new sales of computers and other hardware — a phenomenon of the past which has been absent in recent Windows releases.

“I’m still hopeful that the PC industry will see some decent upside from Windows 10, particularly in the fourth quarter of this year and into 2016,” he said.

“The primary reason for my optimism is that Microsoft has actually integrated quite a few new capabilities into Windows 10 that will benefit from new hardware.”
