Yeah, actually many businesses were owned by Christian, Parsi, Ahmadi's and Agha Khanis which came under immense scrutiny, so much so that some of them packed up and left the country especially Parsi's and Christians.

Many of the rich ones from these groups left Pakistan in the 80's hurting our economy significantly.

Because he just wants to "prove" that Pakistan cannot have any billionaires and even if they do , they aren't "real" billionaires. Apparently only india can have "real" billionaires

Well I don't know what ever the real worth of his total assets is but he isn't going to give a single dollar to you out of it.

Actually his wealth is considered to be many times more than just 1 billion dollars. But as you know peoples in Pakistan tend to keep their net-assets secret and 1 billion dollars is the amount that he officially declared. There has been various sources claiming between 1 billion dollars (official) to 10 billion dollars unofficial wealth.

Even Zardari's personal wealth is believed to be in couple of billions of dollars but officially he is no where among billionaires
